why do you think it sucks? and the song is perfect for this couple, whether the anime sucks or not. For the people who know Subaru's and Seishiro's background, the lyrics of this song and the music itself go perfectly with the mood required for these two characters. The anime has a very complicated plot and all the characters are likable enough for me to say that this anime ROCKS!

The video revolves around the complicated relationship between Subaru and Seishirou of the anime series Tokyo Babylon and X. If you're not familiar with those series, the video isn't going to make much sense. If that is the case, though, I highly recommend them!

Subaru falls in love with Seishirou and vise versa--but years before that, Seishirou swore that he'd kill Subaru. He kills Subaru's twin Hokuto first though and then Sei tries to kill Subaru, basically committing suicide because of Hokuto's spell that she cast as she died. He only admits to Subaru that he loves him right before he dies 5:25. Seishirou was "everything" to Subaru and the vid is a lament about "all that could have been" and that they were doomed before they ever loved. Get it?

This is by far the best SeishirouxSubaru AMV I've seen. It made me cry. It's also one of the only ones I've seen that doesn't just use the same fight scenes over and over. It was DIFFERENT for once and it was beautiful.

It's by: Nine inch Nails, I cant remember what album but its one of the new ones. Trent Razor sings it. The album title is the same as the song title though 'All that could have been.' I ususally dont listen to western music so I could be totally wrong though.

Nine inch Nails is the band their singer is Trent Razor. The song title is the same as the album title from what I've read. His best work IMO other then Pretty Hate Machine.

As everyone else has commented, it's a Nine Inch Nails song. It's off of the special two cd edition of the album "And All That Could Have Been"; the song appears on the second cd, "Still". Trent Reznor is the singer/songwriter for Nine Inch Nails, whose vocals you hear in this song.

Wow, this video was just sheer perfection, the best AMV I've ever seen. It was so sad, I almost cried at the end(I'm not normally that type). Thank you! And you can actually thank my husband Freeptop for this vid, though when he'd originally suggested the song, he'd had Fuuma/Kamui in mind instead. But the SxS aspect really came out to me in the lyrics and that's how the whole thing started. It really came together far better than I think either of us could have predicted from the start.

Unfortunately I don't have my fansubs any more - I gave them away years ago when I bought the series on dvd. But it's not too hard to find the dvds nowadays, and the video quality in them in amazing compared to my old fansubs anyhow. Good luck!

I understand your point, since Kamui's situation is really similar to Subaru's in many ways. But this is SUBARU'S song, because his life is so much more fucked up and hopeless and all that. And dude... EIGHT YEARS! XD

I admit, I wasn't sure if that was going to go over really well or really poorly with SxS fans, since I synched it to the infamous unheard last words of Seishirou. As we were putting the vid together, that part just worked out perfectly, and I had to keep it in. I'm glad you like our vid!

I'm so glad you liked it! The timing on "everything" was very deliberate, though I did worry if the audacity in synching it to Seishirou's famous unheard last words would get us in trouble at the time. ^^;
