I agree that most presidents don't write their own speeches, probably because its not time efficient to do so, however there is a huge difference between note cards and teleprompters. Note cards require some original thought, they guide you by main points, not word for word. Bush rarely used one...that is why he sometimes had such flub ups...but that can happen when you have original thoughts...unlike Obama to whom everything is spoon fed and scripted.
Umm, if you read the scripts from speeches, you can see Obama just doesn't read what's "spoon fed" to him. It's just a matter of style. He rather keep his eye on the stage than read notes. It's not a big deal.

Bush wasn't a conservative...he was a republican. Bush certified that spending like a social democrat wont work.Medicaid,medicare,drug prescription plan, auto bailouts, along with no child left behind program. Obama is no better then Bush. Both parties are self-serving pricks.

Letterman's Bush bashing and his Obama messiah worshiping is getting tiresome and old. Maybe Letterman needs to pay more attention to his poor ratings instead of becoming a shrill for the Obama administration. Obama's driving the U.S. to bankruptcy and Letterman still treats him as a God.
Ironic how Bush can't do anything right and Obama is Letterman's Christ and savior.

I agree that most presidents don't write their own speeches, probably because its not time efficient to do so, however there is a huge difference between note cards and teleprompters. Note cards require some original thought, they guide you by main points, not word for word. Bush rarely used one...that is why he sometimes had such flub ups...but that can happen when you have original thoughts...unlike Obama to whom everything is spoon fed and scripted.

Umm, if you read the scripts from speeches, you can see Obama just doesn't read what's "spoon fed" to him. It's just a matter of style. He rather keep his eye on the stage than read notes. It's not a big deal.

So what am I suppose to do? Praise Obama for continuing the massive spending that Bush started? I am biased. I believe in small government limited spending and I find it ironic that the same people that started this economic mess are the ones fixing it. If you have any economic knowledge you would agree that this new deficit is going to tank the US dollar. USA will be a third world dictatorship very shortly.

Third World Dictatorship? I guess you think this country can't come out of adversity. There were huge debts and deficits after the WW2. There were huge inflation during the late 70s. We came out of those crisis.

When I hear the president say that government is the ONLY solutions to out problems I become a little concerned, and so much for transparency, out of 11 executive orders and bills he has passes we were allowed a 5 day review of only 1 of them.
