The song is Astor Piazzolla's "Violentango". To me it sounds like a live performance (a not too excellent one), although on the video the song appears to be pre-recorded.

The dancing is "classical" stage tango style. It is still very highly valued in BsAs - for performance. I am quite sure that these dancers would never dance like this at a milonga though.

Noooo.....the tango is ESCUALO.. Piazzolla was inspired by shark fishing when he composed this piece of music. Crazy but true; according to his biography. By the way, someone should fish tangomuzzi out of this site!!

tangomuzi seems to have something personal against Jorge. I've been doing this dance for more than 15 years, and I see none of the faults s/he claims for him.

tangomuzi, you seem to have something against Jorge Torres' dances, as you've made the same comments about three of his vids on this site. Having studied with Jorge, I can vouch for his extreme sense of musicality, and his mastery of the dance. This is, in fact, a wonderful example of Argentine Tango, although it might not be the style or taste that you prefer.
