But to answer you last question. I believe that the bible is the word of God and that it is Perfect. However that doesn't mean that we, humans, are able to read and understand the correct or real message that was intended, due to our imperfection. Almost like an incorrect translation. The bible is not just rules that are hard and sometimes impossible to follow, it’s about a story about the all powerful God trying to shove in our little tiny human brains that he loves ALL of us. Yes, you are right, the Bible was written by man. But the fundamental part is the Spirit of God. God does his work through humankind by his Spirit so that we can believe that he is true and mighty (like you say man is imperfect). As you see the Bible is not a great novel, it isn't a good storyline written by man, it is God speaking to us, so we may understand him better. He gives and he takes away. But only the humble will truly know him. If you diligently read his divine Words you'll find him.
It is impossible for someone who is not perfect to write the perfect word of God. So therefore that book has plenty of things that were not part of the message from God. Hey Kengikat I came across your video and found your question very interesting. I am a minister and NO, I'm not going to answer your question, but I would like to ask you a question. Do you believe there is a GOD? How did we get here? and if there is no GOD, does MEN get the GLORY for our creation. WHO gets the GLORY? Is Satan Real? Where do u get your info? The Holy Spirit is from God, therefore it has always existed.(Example) Saul in the Bible was a persecuter of christians. God through him down 2 his face one day and asked him "saul, why does thou persecutest me?" He changed him and renamed him PAUL. He ended up being one of the greatest writers in the Bible. So u c he was inspired by the Holy Spirit, and this was Before Christ by the way. So the Holy Spirit has always existed because God has always existed.

But as far as the subject @ hand, I must say I respectfully disagree with u. The Bible was PHYSICALLY written by man, but they were under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit. Which means GOD himself spoke through these people 2 get his word out. As far as being gay or an ex-gay, I am no Judge, that is between u and God Almighty! Be Blessed!

@deedee75able If this idea about the holy spirit was true, then it would only apply after Christ died on the cross. There was no holy ghost until he went to the cross. So since there was no holy spirit until after calvary, how then were they inspired by something that wasn't present.
I know every word in that book aint the exact word of God.

I believe if you were actually of that orientation to begin w/ & are now claiming to be a "resigned gay" you would have responded that you're now an "inactive homosexual". Orientation towards 1's same sex tends to have existed during 1's adolescent into adulthood & cannot be turned off w/ a switch. You can either capsule & deny OR re-enter society as a practicing "hetero" & live your life parallel to what you believe is appropriate. ACTUALLY being gay will & always IS if you ever really "were".

1: How can someone answer a question about the Bible without quoting from it? U couldn't talk about WW1 without saying what a book said because u were never there. 2: In response to ur biblical question the Bible was written by those who were directly Inspired by the Holy Spirit. Of course we're not perfec,t God transforms us when we LET Him renew our spirit. 3: How can you say whether someone is gay or not anymore as a result of them going down a path that you've never tried yourself?

I also agree with you that too may Christians judge others. Jesus Christ came to teach us to love the Fatherless and the poor, he says leave judgement in his hands. Yes, you are right, the Bible was written by man. But the fundamental part is the Spirit of God. God does his work through humankind by his Spirit so that we can believe that he is true and mighty (like you say man is imperfect). As you see the Bible is not a great novel, it isn't a good storyline written by man, it is God speaking to us, so we may understand him better. He gives and he takes away. But only the humble will truly know him. If you diligently read his divine Words you'll find him.

It is impossible for someone who is not perfect to write the perfect word of God. So therefore that book has plenty of things that were not part of the message from God. Just like we all know Christopher Columbus didnt discover America, we know that the people who wrote that book added their own bullshit and evil thoughts to it.
