Your roots are not damaged, therefore it sucks up the bleach faster than the other hair. If you were to go to an ACTUAL salon, they don't put bleach on your roots until the very end. And you can't go from N1 (Black) to a Ten...You have to bleach it again, but don't put it on your roots because your hair will actually fall out. Just go to a salon, they'll do it right.
my hair is #60 blonde (super light) and i did it at home, my hair is still healthy, you didn't leave it on long enough or you're not using correct developer, it looks like it was oxidizing so you washed it out way to early. it's normal to need to bleach it twice, not on the same day. Use shimmer lights shampoo, it has a toner in it, after bleaching with 30 vol developer and blue bleach powder, it should be a blonde/light blonde. message me and i'll send you the links to the products. (:
the reason why its turning like it is, was becuase if you have black hair is really hard to get blonde, to get blonde your gonna have to dye it with 30 develoaper.
and then wait for about a week and dye it with 20 develaper.
And if it still havent worked you should put tonner in it.
After all dying your hair its gonna be really damaged and you may wanna wash ur hair alott.
Also ur roots turn like white becuase bleach works a lot better on nateral har.
it does that when anybody does it! i'm actually bleaching my hair this very moment ( as i type ) the reason it turns white is because your roots are closer to the heat of your head. Bleach+hair+heat=lighter hair. the heat processes the bleach faster. i recomend only applying bleach to the darker parts of your hair then try wrapping it in tinfoil. you can also try using heat ( blow dryer ) hopefully that'll work for ya ;)
okie doke =) well, what kind of bleach did you use? lol did you foil your hair when you bleached it? how long did you leave it on? -sorry for asking so many questions, but the answers could be the solution to your problem lol- try using manic panic bleaching kits =) and then use a snow white virgin toner on it to make it white ♥
You didn't leave it on long enough. The roots get white because it's younger hair and takes the processing faster. The rest of your hair didn't get a chance pass from the orange stage into the white stage yet.
because you need to use a bleach that has a blue base and then you need to mix in 30-40 volume with it. otherwise it wont do anything but lighten it.
I have been bleaching my hair for years, you cannot get it white without bleaching it multiple times and that is not safe for your hair because if you do it wrong then it'll fall out.
I've had parts of hair fall off from over-processing. so be careful.
Keep bleaching it! Took me 6 months to get to white by dying with blonde hairdye. Never by hair lightener. It's pathetic and not nearly powerful enough to get the colour you need.
I bleached the front half of my hair blond from black, and it did this wickedly awesome white roots gradient to that colour to black. It was wonderful. But I got rid of it. 'Cause it wasn't what I was after. :P Now I'm almost at my white. Just gotta buy some toner next week~ :3
the roots are dyed the lightest because they are closer to your head which radiates heat and the more heat you have with bleach the lighter your hair color will be . its that simple :P
you need to do a pigment remover first. Because its been dyed black its got so much built up pigment. Then you can bleach it. Bleach for about 45 min with 40 vol and blue powder. It will then be a yellowy color you will need to repeat this around 4 times. After, use a violet toner and volia! you have white hair. But as a hairdresser I suggest you visit a salon and get it professionally done.
Since your hair is black, the first time you bleach it, it's most likely to come out that color. It takes about two to three bleaching sessions to turn black hair to a blonde-ish color. Same thing happened to me lol
Plus to get rid of the brassy color, use a toner ^_^ Don't forget to deep condition your hair after you bleach it~
the reason your become blonde after bleaching is because the heat from your head. When you add heat to the parts that are bleached it becomes lighter.
@jokatlynch i think because blonde was expected. and when u go from black to blone it doesnt come out giner its a multi toned orange green color. Gingers r awesome!
there could be a couple reasons why your roots are lighter than the rest, one could be because you applied the dye to the roots first so that hair sat longer with the bleach than the rest, OR and i think this is why, because of re-growth, if your hair is dyed black but your roots are your natural color obviously your roots are going to go VERY blond what you can do to stop this is strip your hair from all chemicals and then do it :)
you probably know this now but when you bleach your hair the reason it gets white at the root is because the heat from your head :) to get it the same as your roots just blow dry it. you need heat for it to develop the same and because the rest of your hair isnt that close to the roots it wont bleach as well
you gotta bleach it a few times for it to get lighter. then you gotta put a toner in it. the reason your roots got lighter is cause its healthier hair.
If you dyed it back it was because when you dye you're hair, The bleach almost never turns blonde, Most likely orang like yours. And because you're hair grow, thats why you're roots are lighter because their not dyed black and it bleaches easier, Or you applied you're bleach to you're roots before anything else, But this is just what i believe based on previous attempts. Anyway hope it helped~
You have to do it again, it's simple :) i have black hair too, and I'm gonna bleach it a few times to get it blonde.. :D then i'm gonna go red xD :D :D
also dnt straighten your hair after you bleach bleach makes it week as u said it wont straighten correctly yea only when hair is in good condition it listens well.....avocado...put avocado in your hair lol i know weird but i know what i'm talking about i'9 been dying bleaching cuting my own hair since 13
next time u bleach o.o use a blue or purple based powder like loreal quick blue should remove the orange yea your roots always get lighter because hair bleach gets lighter faster with heat body heat at your roots so it gets lighter and what i usually do is buy a toner ....but thats if you want it really light anymore questions message me :-)
im a hair stylist and i can just say that next time you bleach your hair mix in 30% volume peroxide and use the blue powder bleach because blue neutralizes the yellow color. well after you mix the two leave in your hair for about 1 hour and a half. the reason its dark orange is because you didnt give it enough time to develop to the light yellow color.
the roots, being the freshest part of your hair, and closest to your scalp will develop alot more quickly with any bleach, because the of heat from your scalp. its what happened to me everysingle time i ever used a bleach...my roots went pure white and the rest was orange....
do you color your hair black? if so then thats why it turned orange... if you want it blonde try using bw2 powder bleache and 40 volume developer and start from the ends of yur hair and work your way up do not keep it on longer than 30 minutes at a time and it could take up to 2 weeks to go from black to blonde. do it one day and wait like 2 days then bleache it again for 30 minutes the same way then wait 2 days then the same until you acheive the blonded shade you want
bleaching black hair is bad. it damages your hair to the extreme. your roots turn white because the heat from your scalp is greater. you need to put alot of heat on your hair when bleaching. it will help.
Okay, the reason why your roots Turned Platinum and the rest turned orange is because you put to much Bleach At the Base. Also When your bleaching put a Shower Cap on your head to lock in heat. Bleach is more successful (when your aiming for a lighter tone ) with heat. use a blow dryer. and last, get a good toner! :D im not sure what shade of blonde your going for but you would look good with Honey blonde and a blue streak!!! try Manic panic if your planning on going wild and breakin the rules!!
Because you probably put more bleach on your roots, when you bleach it's best to blow-dry the foil or the wrapping that your hair is in and that will make it really lighter :))
its gone ginger cos ur bangs were black. if u keep bleaching it, it will eventually go white. also, use a toner each time u bleach an use a lightening shampoo :)
The reason Your bangs did that is because you roots was growing out... and when you bleach black hair it turns orange!! Bleach your hair twice and then do a toner!
this is probably because you didnt use a strong enough bleach for your hair color. Looks like you used one of them "all in one" home bleach kits which are a really bad idea unless you already have medium to light blond hair. If bleaching your hair from a NATURALLY dyed black color then this is not impossible regardless of what people say. For this you will need powder bleach and the STRONGEST hydrogen peroxide which is the 12% 40 vol. For dyed black then i suggest going to the hair dressers.
You have to use 30 volume and then keep toner on. Your roots are white because you have more heat by your skull. Use 30 volume, and heat. Toner for a good 20 minutes
@CelesteContradiction you have to bleach it several times to get your hair pale blond, then use purple toner to get the yellow out then it becomes white.
Like do it 3 or 2 times and it should come out as pale blond.
I just did it yesterday and it came out ginger-ish, so tonight or tomorrow, gonna bleach it again.
LOOOOOOOOL yess ur moms gonna kill u i almost attrempted that with SUN-IN the hair shitt from walmart to lighten your hair haha good thing i didnt my friends whole head turned out like yours!!! haha it clearly said on the bottle (not reccomended with dark brown to black hair) LMAOOOO yeaaa so its gonna turn out like that everytime cuz ur hairs black!!!
because, the roots are re-growth and they are more vonrable to the dye so would go lighter, also this could hapen if you dye your hair and the roots grow out a little the dye works better on natural hair so it would go white/blonde :)
because, your supposed to do the end first, then the roots, heat from the scalp makes it lifts quicker. common misconception is people put the whole dye on in one go.
The reason it didn't come out blonde is because you didn't strip the black from your hair before applying bleach on it. Roots develop faster than the rest of your hair.Try applying a pre-lightening kit on it and then bleach it with 20 or 30 vol creme peroxide mixed with blue powder bleach (to avoid brassiness) and finish off with a toner to eliminate any brass that remained :) good luck :D
You put the bleach about an inch away from your scalp at first because your head radiates heat and therefore speeds up the process of the bleach. In turn, this makes your roots much blonder than the rest of your hair. Put the bleach an inch away from your roots for about 15 minutes and then add the bleach onto your roots and wash it out together. Also, since you're going from black to blonde you're going to want a 40 developer and bleach powder and you're going to want to bleach it twice.
do you dye your hair black? cuz if you do then thats why, when you dye your hair black and bleach it it has to go threw a bunch of color stages n your roots are natural so they lighten super quick.. you should bleach it again to get it lighter but dont put bleach on ur roots.. hope that helped :)
your roots are that colour because they havnt been previously been dyed so they have no other colour pigment to remove, but black has a lot of difficult colour pigments, so when you bleach it the harder pigments from the black are still in your hair (red is the most difficult to remove and usually results in a ginger rather than blonde when bleached).
roots came out that colour because you most likley had new growth + bleach works better with body temperature and virgin hair... the rest came out orange because ur hair is black.
lol..you needed to use a toner after you bleached to get ur hair white. the toner will take away all the yellowy-orange nasty color. which essentially leaves ur hair white. and ur roots are white cuz u probly put the dye there first then on the rest of ur hair..heat from ur scalp makes dye work faster so ur roots pretty much got bleached alot more than the rest of ur hair...just a few things i learned while trying to bleach my hair..better luck next time :)
The roots go White because thats the natural hair that has no dye on it which has grown through the scalp since you last dyed your hair the only way you'll get the hair White is to grow out all of the dye that is already on it the ends go orange because black is really hard to lift out of the hair even with bleach,I'm a hairdresser btw so I know what I'm talking about.
you needed to leave it on longer and do the roots last, theres alot to learn before u start bleaching your hair, thats why I went to the hair salon and let the pros do it. It always comes out orange when u start from such a dark color, the first time I had my hair bleached blonde it took about 6-8 hrs cause you have to wait for the orange to lift and then you need add a toner. Sweety if you want to do this yourself, do some research and read up on how to first so u dont damage your hair badly.
I have the same problem -__- I bleached my hur today and My roots are like white as fuck and the rest of it is orange -.- Grrr i have to bleach it for a 3rd round now lol
your roots get white because of the heat from your head, just the next time you do it, apply it like 1 inch away then half way through apply the rest to your roots!
you should do something before knowing the outcomes noob :D no matter what u do ur hair will be orange when bleaching if before that it was black :) you should bleach like ... twice a day or 2 consecutive days an then wait 2 weeks and bleach again to get close to white ( start with hair tips and last with roots becuz as half of the ppl said , they are always white ) and watch sum other videos. Get someone to help you with the back. Nothing personal but being overw8 is worse than bleaching :).
Its not that bad. Honestly. It becasue your roots are always a different color, so it colors it and reacts differently. Its fine, all you do is buy a normal beach blonde dying kit. NOT BLEACH, you did the right thing by bleaching the black out, now just wait a day and dye it blonde... but find like.. a lightning blonde. And it usually makes your hair a bit healthyer after the bleaching, I dont know why... but...
hmm the first bleaching process i think is suppose to turn out blonde :0 altho i might be mistaken xD you have to bleach it over and over for it to become completely white, or so google tells me LOL
I bleached my bangs and they came out like that LOL I rebleached it after a week but just on the ends...Haha and the wig thing,me and you both ahahah:)
i would get it professionally done or ask them what to do with it. and im not saying this to be mean because you are very pretty but guys like you hair a natural color. a couple streaks is ok but natural colors are nicer and it kind of makes it look obvoiuse you dyed it. But if you want bleach blonde bangs you should go egt them done it can cost a bit but its worth it. It is your hair and just dont worry bout what any hate comments say. just be yourself. :)
once u bleach ur hair it wont turn WHITE right away (starting from a black hair base) you either need to dye your hair with the white dye... or bleach it again and THEN dye your hair with the white dye.
The roots get white because your body gives off more heat or either thats your natural hair root. You need to bleach your hair at least 2 times. When you do, add OIL to the bleach. & give yourself a couple of conditioning treatments. &&&& use shimmer lights everytime you wash your hair!! :)
it might be because Your roots have more heat to them then the other part of your hair because the roots are closer to your scalp . and when trying to bleach really dark hair you might need to do it more then one time especially since your trying to get a platinum color.
the reason the hair near your sculp is light is beacuse near your scalp is wear the must heat is produced and it affects the bleach makin it mor eintense but the heat is not constant throught out ur whole head it actually is the highest at the top and front of your head
Eh I wanna say ur dinky but ur just uninformed ... Before doing anything like that (bleaching, piercing, [modification] ) you should research (YouTube or google) how to do things the right way. I'm sure if you look around you ur will fine all your answers. Let this be a lesson to you while you are young. Laterz! Doesn't look that bad, can be fixed. - Mistet
Ooh ooh ooh! My sister (a cosmetologist) just told me the answer to your question! You asked why your roots turn white and the rest turned brassy. Well my sister said it's heat that makes the bleach work the best, and since your scalp has constant heat - that's why it turns white. I bet the rest of your hair that you bleach is out in the open, huh? And then it gets dried? Well that won't work! That's why at salons people sit in that chair and have that huge bowl thing over/around their head!
Actually after the first bleaching process, bleach a second time, depending on those results your final step should be a toner mixed with developer from a beauty store like sallys in the color of your liking.
The reason your roots get white is because bleach activates faster towards your roots because of the heat from your head. And the rest turns orange because basically, bleach is a powerful color stripper, and it lifts hair up to certain levels depending on the type of bleach and developer. But when you bleach hair, it leaves the undertones, black leaves ginger tones usually. So you would need to bleach once or twice more until it's a yellow or pale yellow than buy a hair toner to make it white.
no you r supposed to die ur hair from bottom up your roots is always the first thing to grab the color the ends not so much so when u bleach your ends first by the time you make your way up to ur roots the bottom is already real light so you would get and even tone make sure to use heat protection and anti frizz
You need to bleach it more than once if you're going straight from black. And your roots are white probably because your natural color is lighter than black.
your roots go white because you have natural outgrowth at the roots and your scalp gives off heat which makes the product work faster. Just bleach it again with thirty volume and use a violet toner.
When I want my hair completely bleached, I would do it three times, It turns out really light blonde.. Though bleach is bad cause it might cause damage to your hair.. But Ive been Bleaching, dying, Highlighting and been using lots of chemicals on my hair for soo long now, Im use to it :) xx
when you dye your hair... it builds up in your hair every single time you dye it... but your roots havent been dyed yet or they were only dyed once they dont have the layers the rest of your hair would... also to get your hair blonde from black will take between 3 - 5 dyes..... but also using a purple toner will help lighten the orange.... hope that makes sense to you lol = )
no matter what ur hair will always turn that color even when u go to a pro ur roots comes with heat since its close to the scalp thats why it ended up that way my hair turned that same color when i first bleached it i just had to bleach it like two more times to get all the brassy orange yellow out. i also used a toner by wella color charm its called white lady it has a base that should take out the brass and make it more even...hope this helps...
you know what i did when i messed up my hair? i previously dyed it many times before i first bleached it, and as an artist i dint know when to quit so i put red in it to accent the blonde but it was horrible, it turned out nothing like i wanted, and i know they say not to rebleach it, but hell, i rebleached the fucker! Lol and it turned out just fine, in fact its very nice, but the red turned into a baby pink =P
youre not supposed to bleach black hair because it is more damaging than doing normal hair. the roots are like white because the heat from your head speeds up the bleaching process which is why youre supposed to put bleach like and inch down from the roots then a while later you apply it to the roots
if you dyed your hair black. and had it for a while. the black sets into your haiir. and the bleach is unable to 100% remove all the chemicals from the black. Thus the Gingery Red colour -- I had tobleach my hair 4 times to get it blonde. Your roots became blonde - if your had normal roots growing in( a lighter shade of brown) the bleach would have a stronger impact on the ligher colour. && the heat from your scalp helps the bleach strip the colour out.
Cus Yo Roots are close to the scalp and your scalp is warm Do the tips first leave it for 15 min then do the roots plus use a good bleach brand I use Ion It works good and it didnt damage my hair at all it still feals soft as before try 30 vol. with the developer plus it wil take a few attemps before you even get platnum or blond Good Luck...
Repeat the process two more times and then put a toner on top and that toner will take out the yellow brassy colors that r left and u get platinum blonde! Any toner works! Um, my hair came out like that with the first application of the bleach. It's normal because ur hair is turning however many shades lighter (according to your creme, 20,30,40) but yeah. Two more times should do it for 30 mins and don't over process. I would recommend using 30 volume creme because 40 kills a lot of hair for so
my hair turned outt he same color when i bleached it, maybe a little lighter, but i was putting color over top of it, im uploading the vid i made where i dyed it later and you should check it out
you should bleach the ends of it first.and leave that on for say 20 minutes. then put the bleach on the roots. and leave that on for abit. because your roots are virgin hair so basically you can dye on top of it easy. whereas with dyed hair...youcantxD
Your roots are not damaged, therefore it sucks up the bleach faster than the other hair. If you were to go to an ACTUAL salon, they don't put bleach on your roots until the very end. do you color your hair black? if so then thats why it turned orange... if you want it blonde try using bw2 powder bleache and 40 volume developer and start from the ends of yur hair and work your way up do not keep it on longer than 30 minutes at a time and it could take up to 2 weeks to go from black to blonde. do it one day and wait like 2 days then bleache it again for 30 minutes the same way then wait 2 days then the same until you acheive the blonded shade you want

If you want it to be White, you have to bleach it twice! It always comes out orange if you do it once.
WeRWhoWeR23NOH8 8 months ago
bleaching black hair is bad. it damages your hair to the extreme. your roots turn white because the heat from your scalp is greater. you need to put alot of heat on your hair when bleaching. it will help.
seakelp15 8 months ago
Okay, the reason why your roots Turned Platinum and the rest turned orange is because you put to much Bleach At the Base. Also When your bleaching put a Shower Cap on your head to lock in heat. Bleach is more successful (when your aiming for a lighter tone ) with heat. use a blow dryer. and last, get a good toner! :D im not sure what shade of blonde your going for but you would look good with Honey blonde and a blue streak!!! try Manic panic if your planning on going wild and breakin the rules!!

You Need A Toner...
xxxxFunGhoulxxxx 8 months ago
Because you probably put more bleach on your roots, when you bleach it's best to blow-dry the foil or the wrapping that your hair is in and that will make it really lighter :))

its gone ginger cos ur bangs were black. if u keep bleaching it, it will eventually go white. also, use a toner each time u bleach an use a lightening shampoo :)
pffft23 9 months ago
The reason Your bangs did that is because you roots was growing out... and when you bleach black hair it turns orange!! Bleach your hair twice and then do a toner!
LetsTalkBeauty101 9 months ago
this is probably because you didnt use a strong enough bleach for your hair color. For dyed black then i suggest going to the hair dressers.

gmmvgmmv 9 months ago
You have to use 30 volume and then keep toner on. Your roots are white because you have more heat by your skull. Use 30 volume, and heat. Toner for a good 20 minutes
OBBYLOL 9 months ago
@CelesteContradiction you have to bleach it several times to get your hair pale blond, then use purple toner to get the yellow out then it becomes white.
Like do it 3 or 2 times and it should come out as pale blond.
I just did it yesterday and it came out ginger-ish, so tonight or tomorrow, gonna bleach it again.

biebergurl555 9 months ago
because, the roots are re-growth and they are more vonrable to the dye so would go lighter, also this could hapen if you dye your hair and the roots grow out a little the dye works better on natural hair so it would go white/blonde :)
joejoe85433 9 months ago
because, your supposed to do the end first, then the roots, heat from the scalp makes it lifts quicker. common misconception is people put the whole dye on in one go.
jakhues 9 months ago
The reason it didn't come out blonde is because you didn't strip the black from your hair before applying bleach on it. Roots develop faster than the rest of your hair.Try applying a pre-lightening kit on it and then bleach it with 20 or 30 vol creme peroxide mixed with blue powder bleach (to avoid brassiness) and finish off with a toner to eliminate any brass that remained :) good luck :D
RachaelRacooon 10 months ago
YOU FREAKING HAIR IS BLACK....ITS GONNA TURN OUT THAT WAY EVERY TIME UNLESS YOU BLEACH IT AGAIN!!!!
crazymexicanchick199 10 months ago

The roots dye better because the hair is closest to your body temperature. Your body heat allows the product to penetrate deeper.

lol..you needed to use a toner after you bleached to get ur hair white. the toner will take away all the yellowy-orange nasty color. which essentially leaves ur hair white. and ur roots are white cuz u probly put the dye there first then on the rest of ur hair..heat from ur scalp makes dye work faster so ur roots pretty much got bleached alot more than the rest of ur hair...just a few things i learned while trying to bleach my hair..better luck next time :)

xxmetallicabunnyxx 11 months ago
The roots go White because thats the natural hair that has no dye on it which has grown through the scalp since you last dyed your hair the only way you'll get the hair White is to grow out all of the dye that is already on it the ends go orange because black is really hard to lift out of the hair even with bleach,I'm a hairdresser btw so I know what I'm talking about.
meganghellokitty 11 months ago
you needed to leave it on longer and do the roots last, theres alot to learn before u start bleaching your hair, thats why I went to the hair salon and let the pros do it. It always comes out orange when u start from such a dark color, the first time I had my hair bleached blonde it took about 6-8 hrs cause you have to wait for the orange to lift and then you need add a toner. Sweety if you want to do this yourself, do some research and read up on how to first so u dont damage your hair badly.

you should do something before knowing the outcomes noob :D no matter what u do ur hair will be orange when bleaching if before that it was black :) you should bleach like ... twice a day or 2 consecutive days an then wait 2 weeks and bleach again to get close to white ( start with hair tips and last with roots becuz as half of the ppl said , they are always white ) and watch sum other videos.

And it usually makes your hair a bit healthyer after the bleaching, I dont know why... but...
Experience.

i would get it professionally done or ask them what to do with it. and im not saying this to be mean because you are very pretty but guys like you hair a natural color. a couple streaks is ok but natural colors are nicer and it kind of makes it look obvoiuse you dyed it. But if you want bleach blonde bangs you should go egt them done it can cost a bit but its worth it. It is your hair and just dont worry bout what any hate comments say. just be yourself. :)

noo you got it all wrong buddy..
once u bleach ur hair it wont turn WHITE right away (starting from a black hair base) you either need to dye your hair with the white dye... or bleach it again and THEN dye your hair with the white dye.

The roots get white because your body gives off more heat or either thats your natural hair root. You need to bleach your hair at least 2 times. When you do, add OIL to the bleach. & give yourself a couple of conditioning treatments. &&&& use shimmer lights everytime you wash your hair!! :)

it might be because Your roots have more heat to them then the other part of your hair because the roots are closer to your scalp . and when trying to bleach really dark hair you might need to do it more then one time especially since your trying to get a platinum color.
kayoka101 1 year ago
the reason the hair near your sculp is light is beacuse near your scalp is wear the must heat is produced and it affects the bleach makin it mor eintense but the heat is not constant throught out ur whole head it actually is the highest at the top and front of your head

That's why at salons people sit in that chair and have that huge bowl thing over/around their head!
amyloveskatiej 1 year ago
because your roots are your natural color ... and the color is copper because black has so many different color tones..
KnivesAndEmilyxx4568 1 year ago
Actually after the first bleaching process, bleach a second time, depending on those results your final step should be a toner mixed with developer from a beauty store like sallys in the color of your liking.

My hair came out that color. Just bleach it again jk dont.
TheChubbybunny1 1 year ago
The reason your roots get white is because bleach activates faster towards your roots because of the heat from your head. And the rest turns orange because basically, bleach is a powerful color stripper, and it lifts hair up to certain levels depending on the type of bleach and developer. But when you bleach hair, it leaves the undertones, black leaves ginger tones usually. So you would need to bleach once or twice more until it's a yellow or pale yellow than buy a hair toner to make it white.
BDHoffman91 1 year ago
no you r supposed to die ur hair from bottom up your roots is always the first thing to grab the color the ends not so much so when u bleach your ends first by the time you make your way up to ur roots the bottom is already real light so you would get and even tone make sure to use heat protection and anti frizz
sisqo190pr 1 year ago
You need to bleach it more than once if you're going straight from black. And your roots are white probably because your natural color is lighter than black.

your roots go white because you have natural outgrowth at the roots and your scalp gives off heat which makes the product work faster. Just bleach it again with thirty volume and use a violet toner.

when you dye your hair... it builds up in your hair every single time you dye it... but your roots havent been dyed yet or they were only dyed once they dont have the layers the rest of your hair would... also to get your hair blonde from black will take between 3 - 5 dyes..... but also using a purple toner will help lighten the orange.... hope that makes sense to you lol = )

no matter what ur hair will always turn that color even when u go to a pro ur roots comes with heat since its close to the scalp thats why it ended up that way my hair turned that same color when i first bleached it i just had to bleach it like two more times to get all the brassy orange yellow out. i also used a toner by wella color charm its called white lady it has a base that should take out the brass and make it more even...hope this helps...

Lol and it turned out just fine, in fact its very nice, but the red turned into a baby pink =P

UTF5658 1 year ago
youre not supposed to bleach black hair because it is more damaging than doing normal hair. the roots are like white because the heat from your head speeds up the bleaching process which is why youre supposed to put bleach like and inch down from the roots then a while later you apply it to the roots
kelcihrn 1 year ago
if you dyed your hair black. and had it for a while. the black sets into your haiir. and the bleach is unable to 100% remove all the chemicals from the black.
P3PSI327 1 year ago
Cus Yo Roots are close to the scalp and your scalp is warm Do the tips first leave it for 15 min then do the roots plus use a good bleach brand I use Ion It works good and it didnt damage my hair at all it still feals soft as before try 30 vol. with the developer plus it wil take a few attemps before you even get platnum or blond Good Luck...
lilflippyta2062 1 year ago

Your head is warm. So the dye closet to the head (roots) is obviously going to effect it more.
