  • 1st time I'd heard this song from Donny Osmond....

I love this version too...Thanks for uploading!!!

  • not a bad version

  • this is the best song

  • Marlene Shaw (How could I forget her name)

    Yuma\Go a way little boy

  • Ha, there's a soul record late 70's early 80's of this song, and it's so much more better. This is a great blue print. The song it's self is more "Go away little boy" with a really ghetto lyrics. It's good to hear the original

  • Remnds me of one of my exboyfriends.

  • This is what i miss about music now, nobody sings songs from the heart, its great to sit back and listen to these tracks.

    thanks for posting.

  • HITS: Osmond 1-71His biggest run of 15 weeks ranking 1st and in pos 1 Lawrence 1-63 His biggest run of 17 weeks ranking 1st in pos 1 Happenings 12-66 Their 3rd place for 9 weeks in position 12

    A great song

  • I love this version too.

  • Bobby Vee was my favorite in the 60's. So hard to listen to his music and not remember those days. Reminds me of all the lves I won and lost. Thank you Bobby.

  • who Steve Lawrence -- Osmond's made it a hit later as well! I have to admit he's good but not as good as Steve!

  • @herasmarket they double tracked steves voice to give it that warbling sound

  • Have any of you ever wanted to go back in time, to see what we missed are could have changed? LadyProwler

  • I remember dancing to songs like this in my old high school gym after basketball games. What a great time to be alive.

  • Love Bobby's music Ty for posting this one

  • Brings back some memories.

  • Bobby Vee is a teenage dream <3

  • "When you are near me like this, you're much too hard to resist. So go away little girl. Let's call it a day little girl."

  • where is bobbys version of "who am i" (adam faith did it in uk)...also "forever kind of love" which he cut whilst in the uk in 60s...... a bobby must ,when he comes on tour to uk......

  • Great picture iloveJenni. i like buddy knox but im more of a bobby vee fan and a HUGE dion fan

  • This is a really great version, so is Del Shannons.I also like Dion's. All were alot better than Donny/Steve Laurence's or Mark Wynters :P

  • Hey, is'nt that Dion on the left?

  • Yes, and Buddy Knox on the right as stated in the description. :)

  • Thanks for posting this. Haven't heard it in years. My parents had his album and I heard it as a little kid.

  • Can you make a video of "Punish Her" - no one's done that Bobby Vee hit yet.

  • thank youuu!! ive been looking for this song forever!! :] i loved it when i was younger

  • You're welcome!

  • My big brother used to sing this to me all the time... I think I was being a pest to him cause it damn near became my theme song! lol

  • Bobby Vee rocks!!!

  • This is as good as Steve Larwence's version.

  • Check out Mark Wynter's version. It charted in the UK in 1962.

  • Mark Wynter;s version is great version also.Thank You.They do not sing them like this anymore.I still like today's R&B though, but most of the music of today is just awful.

  • I like it , I am glad it is on You Tube. Bobby Vee is great.

  • I liked Steve Lawrence's version and hit better. However Bobby Vee was a big star at that time. My mom and older sister loved him.

  • they all look like teddy boys there good song

  • A oldie but a goodie

  • This is excellent; I like the Steve Lawrence version a little better.

  • This could have been Bobby's hit, but he released "Sharing You" instead of this as a single, and missed out on a smash. His version is every bit as good as Steve's, though, if not better!

  • I was thinking he could have had a hit with this song if he had of released it first.

  • I agree.

  • @VeeFan1964

    Is that an American thing?

I certainly remember Bobby havin a hit with this in the UK.

I haav never heard of Steve Lawrence & I just played it here on YT & dont recognise him, his voice or his version.

  • @bootsamou Bobby Vee never had this out as a single, so he couldn't have had the hit with it. You may remember Mark Wynter's version, which was a UK hit.

  • @VeeFan1964

Ah ! Ok. I remember Mark Wynter's "Venus in Blue Jeans" but not his version of this.

I really thought it was Bobby's voice that I recalled for this trak.

    Ah well. Thanx.

  • @bootsamou STEVE LAWRENCE HAD A NUMBER 1 HIT WITH GO AWAY LITLE GIRL IN THE US AND SANG IT ON TV BOBBY IS TRYING TO SOUND LIKE HIM
