So they actually let the first planet from the original star wars movies that was destroyed an area in the game? Never thought that would happen in a Star Wars game.
@Chinothebad I can't see anything remarkable about it; Bioware's just mining the established lore for stuff that Star Wars fans might conceivably care about and then putting that in the game. Same thing with Tatooine and Hoth, and I guess also Coruscant for the young viewers who grew up watching Episodes I-III. Alderaan has already been featured in one of the prequel movies (Revenge of the Sith), if Wikipedia is to be believed.
@Demiath Considering that they are mining the lore to cater to fans of the series, I can agree with that, other than that there is nothing remarkable about, though I do have one question, are you a fan of Star Wars?
@Chinothebad Fan or not, becoming somewhat well-versed in Star Wars lore is almost inevitable for any (male) geek born after 1970. Personally I don't watch the movies very often, though, and definitely don't care about the "extended universe" stuff. Ultimately I think the classic game adaptations - everything from Super Star Wars to Tie Figher, Dark Forces, KOTOR and Jedi Knight - are more important to me than the actual movie series.
