  • The worst finish IMO

  • that is one sweet looking instrument

  • Where did you find it for under 400??

  • @HukNorr1s Used on Ebay

  • are the pg's hot? ii want to replace my neck 59's with something fatter, hotter, more powerfull for blues

  • @prefixproductions1 They are a little hotter than the 59 but not what I would call "hot". SD categorizes the PGs as "medium" output and lumps them in with their vintage PUPs.

  • would this guitar sound good with EMG's??

  • @MrClp1995 never used active pups so can't say from experience. But I'm sure there are plenty of demos on youtube that might be helpful.

  • You may want to try putting the Pearly Gates in the bridge and the Classic 57 in the neck. You might find that combo will work better. The 57 would give that "throatier" sound that most people want in a neck pup, while the PG is a more trebly pup. Just a suggestion to try. Cheers.

  • Can you remove pickguard or just for top Models ??

  • @neverdia1 Yes, the pickguard is held on with 3 screws. You can remove it but with be left with the holes.

  • Whats the white elevated thing below the pickups called?

  • @looneycrewvideos that is a pickguard. which is put on the guitar to protect the paint.

some people dont like the way is looks or gets in the way of their picks so many people take it of

  • I had one of those a few years back, and you do get a lot of guitar for the money. I find the neck profiles are a little "easier" than a Gibson neck, and of course, the pickups/electronics are cheaper. With a pickup swap, these guitars can scream. i picked one up tonight for $130 bucks.

  • Its a fake if its made in china, they dont make epiphones in china

  • @BonoBonoFon Epiphone have a massive factory in Qingdao that they are using as their primary factory now. If you google "qingdao epiphone factory" then you'll see the top result is a factory tour on the Epiphone website.

  • Although it looks solid, the flame top is a seperate veneer piece glued on to the mahogany. Very nice guitar though Im picking one up this weekend

  • @The1andOnlySmooth Right, just meant solid as in not chambered as some as the LP bodies are.

  • The striping is quite faint, not like a gibson one. Are they like that on purpose so they don't look as good as Gibson or what, they all seem to be like this, and it's hard to get one with the dark red coloured wood on the back and neck. It's just annoying that they wont make them the same colours.

  • @peteq1972 I think it's just a matter of money. Can't use the finest wood on a $500 guitar.

  • @tonygrimsley Yeah probably, The Slash appetite signature one really looks good but then again it's £700 compared to £300 for a normal epiphone les paul. I also can't seem to find an epiphone les paul your colour Plus top trans amber, with the dark red back, they all seem to be light wood finish on the back and neck, but i still want one. \m/

  • nice video man i love the trans amber, where did you get your guitar from for $400?

  • @GibsonSlash100 Thanks, got it on Ebay. It is used but a good deal I think

  • @tonygrimsley oh really, just ordered mine. That is a good deal, looks in great condition. Would you recommend the pearly gates picks ups or the slash seymour duncans?

  • @GibsonSlash100 I'm not familiar with the slash pickups. The pearly gates seem a little dark unless you are playing up on the neck.

  • This is the color they call 'trans amber'? looks different in the video. Am I right? Excuse my English, I am Brazilian.

  • @mrlucasrthomas Yes this is the trans amber finish. The room I filmed this in was a little dark so the finish actually looks more yellow and less orange in sunlight.
