I purchased this for $2.00. Flashback release, excellent quality! Greasy, gritty, crunchy B-grade dross: I love it. I collect hundreds of these flicks, like Stryker, etc. It's wonderfully trashy; the music is stupendously bad, the acting...well, there isn't any, and that's what I love about these films. Screeching cars, a male chastity belt, & costumes that look like Mad Max with a labotomy! This is happening stuff, probably the same set as Bronx Executioner - a quarry!
I got the ORIGINAL New World VHS when it first came out in '87. The Bootleg DVD is a copy of the original VHS packaging (sans New World Logo). Also, there was the nudity angle on the VHS (USA network never went too far, always shaving the film just before some boobies.). Plus, there was a CINEMAFANTASIQUE write-up about this film prior to it's (limited) theatrical release (one theater in Baltimore was the closest it played in the DC area).
If you meet somone who can name more than two Rowdy Roddy Pipper movies...you know you are no longer talking to a regualr Joe....you are talking to one on US!!!!...lol....Great reveiw mate.
