I too have a Variax same model and colour as the yours. I also have a Pod XT live. Will you share the backing track so I can learn and practice the song?
I really like your cover. In fact I got turned on to the song 'people get ready' through your rendition. I looked up other versions on youtube, but yours is the only one I have put on my playlist.
nice taste....mm i don´t trust in digital world at all but i heard a lot of good things about variax but i want to know hoe that guitat works with distortion and pal muting is like a normal guitar or has something stranger??can you post a video with palm muting and a very wild distortion??
Great tone and really good sting attack. Your pick prowess will mature and grow with the end product a sweet melody for all to see. Good tubin in CMUZ1K
From the August 2008 VG Magazine pg.20 he states that he uses a Variax and a Pod XT. "I haven't used amplifiers onstage for, I don't know...about 15 years."
OH...he definitely could have been using some form of the original pod...just not the current ones (xt/x3). However no form of the variax has been around for that long.
Did you make the track on GarageBand? The guitar emulates guitars and the pod does efx and amps? Is that right? I read in Vintage Guitar Mag that John McFee of the Doobie Bros. has used this set-up live for 14 years.
I mixed the elements of the track in garage band, yes.
Yes the variax can accurately sound like a multitude of different guitars and the same can be said for the pod with amps/fx +!
I cannot comment about your last remark, but if he (John) has been using this setup for "14 years" he must have gotten it about, oh, lets say, 10 years before it was released to the general public!
I would not doubt you if that number was more like "4 or 5 years" however.
very nice but for some reason i love the way it sounds on a strat but over al;l very nice, man

Wow, this is great, is there a tab for this? If not could you please tab it? :)

Thank you.
I made this arrangement by ear...therefore no tab.
If I ever tab this song...you will be the first to know. (Besides me that is! ;D)

Haha, awesome, I honestly think this is the best rendition of the song I've ever heard bar none. Keep up the good work. So please tab it :)
BTW, how does the Variax compare to the VG Strat?

So maybe it hasn't been a Pod for 15 years.
