I also think that people who have only heard Elton's commercial hit songs without ever listening to his albums, have missed out on something special. Every album up to Captain Fantastic (except Caribou which I did not like) is filled with superb tracks, most of which have never been played on radio.
I listen to this album every few months or so and just thought I would check on what other people think of it. Only 12,134 views so far but not a single "dislike". Obviously the uneducated have not bothered to look at it to infected it with their uninformed opinions. I am going to see if my choir will do this piece. I think it cries out for a big treatment.
Wonderful - this takes me back to being 15, listening with my best friend Christine having seen Elton at our very first concert - in the Kelvin Hall, Glasgow. Cheers - thanks for posting.
it was a different world...no ipods, no ipads, no cell ohones, no cable tv, no dvd players, no pro-tools computerized recording equipment..and you know what...though they had by todays standards primitive tools to work with...the music, the albums, the movies were so far superior more artistic created by truly talented people...
today what do they pass off for genius...tupaz, lil wayne, biggie, fitty cents, jay z, emininem....SAD AND PITIFUL
this whole album was and is superb....I recieved it as a gift and it introduced me to Jean LucPonty and of course the tap dancing in Suzie Dramas was so wild...but this song, oh my, this song was incredible. Gopspel flavour a cool guitar solo by Davie and of course Dee and Nigel...thank you for posting this great song...

Elton John is like royalty to me. I am humbled and honored to hear his music. There may be a few artists on his level, but there are none better.

The pressure was on Elton John when he was supposed to be straight, and damn, he delivered under pressure, but not after.

Does anyone know if Bernie Taupin wrote this song as an homage to "Imagine"?
