There's not one Lipo car I've EVER had that doesn't overheat worse than a nitro tuned so lean that it's to it's melting point. Try charging an hour worth of lipo's the get a hour worth of nitro. See which one is still cool as bean and ready for some more after a straight hour of running. THE NITRO.

@kc9oev1 no youcold get a 7 cell lipo that runs for an hour and a half just get too them and you also cold get a good charger that charges in five hours just hang in there whie you have your battery chargeingin my oinion thats enough run time

Nitro: fun, less reliable, pain in the ass, climate issues, lack of top end power, worse work:play ratio

Gasoline: way more reliable, way more powerful(except for castles conversion) more fun, more smiles, easier to use.

Point said, electric is for speed demons who like power and racing. Nitro is for people who like to race and the sound, gas is for everyone! ^^

I know electric is so much easier to use, but i prefer nitro, its just the feel of the car, the noise and the exhaust, and I find it much more fun because it annoys all your neighbours :), I agree it costs a lot, but why buy them new? all of my 4 nitro s are second hand, usually broken on eBay for like 50 quid and it costs me 15 quid to repair them, and you can make your own fuel normally. I always think something with an engine has more soul than something which is just a circuit board

@shane10141 the slash has a brush motor and needs vents to cool down. ( witch makes it a not so water proof motor.)

In fact, traxxas recommends that you run the car at 1/3 throttle for a few minutes after running through water, otherwise, you can burn up the motor real fast.

@AlexDeMars123 And he forgot the biggest plus of electric no tuning I have more than one battery pack which means I can run my car while I'm charing my battery. Plus I can reuse my battery packs unlike nitro where you have to buy fuel all the time. Here in florida there can be a 50 degree temp difference from day to day that means re tuning everyday which gets old quick. I went brushless lipo and never looked back, more playtime and less time spent cleaning tuning and screws falling out.

ok nitro give you 100% power all the way till the gas is completely out, electric on the other hand give you 100% for like 2 minutes, then it slow down and its a hassle to wait and charge it. all ya gota do if fule up the nitro rc and ur ready to go. sure gas can be expensive but hell who dosent want an engine on their RC i mean seriously, A GAY GUY perhaps!

I had 2 kyoshos mad-force that i sold to buy a carson brushless buggy. and it's worth every penny.

the only advatage of nitro is that you can refuel on the fly. brushless cars run for 10 mins and need to have the batteries recharged for 90 mins on 1c

Pro tip: To break an electric motor, connect it directly to a battery and while it's running plunge it in a jug of distilled water for 50 seconds

Nitro is also for people who like to drive slow. Electric is much faster. And neither is cheap.

inventordude, you should have mentioned the noise level, electric is more for people who are gona drive it in their backyards or in their estate, nitro is good for wide spaces with noone around :) nitro is also more fragile
