  • fps in game?

  • can someone tell me how i get Oblivion (Game Of The Year Edition) to work. i have a radeon HD 3870 (i'm not sure if that's the problem) but it i think the game does not support it. I have no idea. Can someone give me a solution??

  • He is a Khajiit. You know the cat race (don't you see the tail?)

  • LOL lv 101 Cheater.......

  • Dude with the video quality it looks worse than my old tube TV...

  • No matter what GPU you are using, it still looks like shit when recording it through a camera. Try using fraps or something.

  • you should add some texture/visual mods.

    then we can compare

  • this means nothing..i run only 1 hd3870 with ddr4 + graphic mods (texture packs) i play this 4x higher graphics then he does. also didnt see him TDT (toggle debug text) to show his framerates..of which i get 40-60fps (60 cap) on 1 gpu, +i dont even have loading area screens. and for u all to know..ATI is better then nVidia only in AMD systems with the proper specs (790FX chipset +AMD Proccessor with DC n all) but nVidia is a better stand alone card if your M-board and proccessor arnt up to spec

  • Oblivion is quite easy to run ftw ;) even forcing AA AF

  • looking good! IM running 2x3870', with a Q6600 'Oblivion runs very well! think having a well programmed game makes a big difference, same goes for fallout 3.

  • ATI are awesome!

  • ATI ftw

  • We can't see the quality because you are holding a camera up to the monitor which defeats the purpose of the video. I recommend FRAPS.

  • ahahaha ati sucks ass for gaming

  • actually ati is better than nvidia atm

  • lol where did you heard that?

the best graphics cards are made by nvidia at the moment.

  • Ha ha, you are so silly, that's like saying paying $6 less for a Q6600 is smart rather than getting a Phenom II, just stupid.

  • ya and phenom II works better with ati graphics

  • Phenom II + 790 chipset + ATi graphics = win

  • @SimonLANO During that time period you said that it wasn't, now it is again.

  • @SimonLANO It sucks that Oblivion dosent support crossfire though.

  • @messt123 ... I think NVidia is great, but ATI is cheaper, faster, etc. We aren't trying to start a flame war, aren't we?

  • Oh my god i could hear your gpu fans blazing when you turned everything up lol nice :) you should get 2 duo orbs or any gpu coolers and overclock!

  • You should look into fraps for your future videos. I just bought an HD2900XT 1gb GDDR4 for $50 off someone from craigslist and I've been able to max out ALL in-game settings in Oblivion while forcing 8xAA, 16xAF and all other driver driven goodies. Its actually a much maligned card that isn't half bad. I've overclocked a good bit to 844core/1144memory and runs all the better. It IS power hungry though. It does better than my 8800 GTS 512 in Oblivion, which is weird b/c its supposed to be worse

  • aa is enabled?

  • 3 questions

    1)Which Resoultion is this???

2)What is ur Average frames per second???

    3) This this Vista 64 bit or 32 bit???

  • 1) 1280 x 1024

    2) -

    3) -

  • hehe, thanks for helping me answering ^^.. i havnt checked out my averge fps. this is vista 32 bit ;)

  • Np :D

  • :D me has same specs.. as you.. kindof.. a lil better..

  • use fraps google it

  • Erm? yes this was played on my pc

  • fucking noob

  • nice

  • This video clip is awful. Firstly, who cares that you can max oblivion out! It's called money (to buy a good computer).

Secondly, recording yourself playing oblivion with a handheld video camera does no credit or justice to the video quality of the game despite the fact that you managed to max it out. Why did you even post this?

  • Hey what race are u

  • Dont Remember sorry.

  • @Mazoton Kahjit

  • @Cirofost 2 years later... thx

  • @Mazoton lol, np. I noticed the tail...

  • Does 3870 double on Vista?

  • Screens loading really fast there

  • Dude your CPU IS Overclocked like a motherfucker what kind of cooling do you use?

  • Im Using The Zalman 9700 NT CPU Cooler.

  • Oblivion is my favourite RPG

  • hehe, try the witcher too. its good rpg game

  • acually when i run crossfire on this vid i get 106 fps with no crossfire only 73

  • i have 200 fps + with 1680x1050

  • but slow down to 50 many times

  • yea but 106 is my averge fps.. mines can also slow down to 45 and max is 176 at 1680x1050.. Also i dont realy think Oblivion Support 3way sli?

  • and u got the GTX Cards in sli. i cant compare them to 3870..

  • And u got QX9650 oc to 4.1 Ghz.. i got Q6660 3.51 ghz..

  • No offense, but that in Crossfire seems like a waste of money...

I have a 8800 GTS, single card, and I can play at the same settings with perfectly fine frame rates.

I'm not saying this is a bad card, because it's a damn fine one. I just think the second card was an unneeded purchase. After all, your eye only sees in 24 FPS, so as long as your game stays above that, you're fine :D

  • The human eye doesn't see in frames per second

  • Actually, yes it does. Google it, research it, look it up somewhere. You'll find it.

  • yhea it does we can see like 27 fps or something?

  • Yep, around there. So, honestly, anything beyond 30-40 would be a waste of money xD

  • yea. itts on 106 fps

  • Just wanted to correct this, and you can google it for verification. The human eye can in fact see much more than 24 frames per second, and the reason movies look smooth is because of motion blurring. If you keep your eye at an object in an fps game and rotate the view while tracking the object with your eyes, you can clearly see a major difference between, say, 80 fps and 24 fps. At4 fps, the object is very clearly chopping its way across the screen, whereas at 80 fps it's wonderfully smooth.

  • i meant 24 fps of course, not 4

  • at 80? if the fps keeps at 45 all time its nearly the same,, the human eye cant see much diferent at 45 fps and 80 on games

  • The human eye does NOT see in frames per second. There is a limit to how much visual information the brain can process and thus the level of change it can observe but this is a fluid thing and is not a limitation of the eyes at all.

  • its a known fact that the human eye can see up to 60 frames per second.

  • antialiasing off?? 0_0

  • AA is enabled in Catalyst COntrol Center, 8x AA

  • and u cant activate AA while HDR is on.. So its enabled in CCC

  • ok thats cool
