I own one and have never gotten 29 mpg on hwy, the best is 26 w/o using A/C.
The drain line to the A/C clogged and flooded the floorboard under the carpet so did not notice until it was very wet. The 2003 does not have smooth shifting, there is a problem in the transmission that was corrected in 2004. Other than that I have had no problems with my car in the 6 years I have owned it and would definitely buy another Lexus.

@linhughes so im not the only one that noticed the somewhat rough shifting lol? other than that, ive had no other problems :P
