In Indonesia, it's called Lancer Dan Gan. I still hv one for drag race use only. Changed it to AWD, 4G63+GT35R turbo, etc. 495 WHP, cant reach 10sec yet... best E.T is 11.5sec

Damn you guys got it bad in Cali. Cops will actually give you a ticket for having a turbo on an originally non-turbo'd car? Here in Wisconsin, they can less what you have under your hood. I have gotten tickets for loud exhaust tho.

any one from Southern cali; on the point on buying a turbo for my 1.5 ( i love it despiteits size) but i want it as a daily driver. so making it street legal is a must.. any help with this? what do i do to make it street legal???

@Mu51Ccm im in so cal.. best word of advice if your going to add an after market turbo is find a guy who will pass you or try and hide it... if a cop stops you and has you lift your hood he could give you a ticket for non stock parts if you modify the crap out of it... best advice though is swap your 1.5 for a 4G63T from a 1G. youll never be happy with the minimal potential for power you will get from a SOHC 1.5... as for legality, working cat, stock apearnce, vacume lines connected, egr etc etc

@Mu51Ccm depends on what vehicle your swapping it too. my car would take alot of modification to swap in... a 1999-2001 mirage will accept an evo motor better. as for legality just make sure the engine is not stolen and it has all required paper work and you can get it BARD legal (BAR or BARD cant remember) any engine can be drooped in with proper paper work and emission being good. where in so cal are you? near sandy eggo??

Is that car a original GTI or Just a GLX with a GTI Body kit ?

@Speedster159 its a US spec mirage with GTI body panels. its kinda like a Mirage lancer eclipse Evo haha a frankenstein vehicle to say the least

i have one in Croatia, here lancers are appreciated, but they're not numerous nor well known... How come Lancers are so popular in Phillippines?

@bluemoondiadochi I actually have no idea, those 91" GTI Lancers (Like mine) here are hard to come by today.

The newer Lancers are very popular, it's sort of the competition of the Civic here.
