  • So I'm wondering why didn't the locomotive just back itself down the track? Was it not steaming? why?

  • @LoganisTrainBoy1 I love the SRI. Best town in lower peninsula!

  • damn that thing looks heavy

  • No i poleciały te drzwi? Szkoda, że na filmiku nie widać... ;)

  • The turntable seems to have moved whlist the maneuver... so was not locked or there is no lockerhole at all. German turnables have such to prevent any moving of the turntable while being passed by a vehicle.

  • I and another volunteer at the Steam Railroading Institute in Owosso, Michigan had to turn the turntable to get two unused trucks of a stub track. I think the simple solution to the problem IS TO LOCK THE TRACKS IN PLACE! Thats exactly what we have to do. I preatty shure its protocall. All tracks must be aligned and locked into place before equipent can be moved on or off the turntable.

  • this is why thomas and friends + alcohol dont mix

  • What is the yellow rod the man holds and looks like he breaks at 0:42

  • That pole sure breaks

  • Wow tow fails a derailment and a pole breaks

  • That would be pretty bad if that towing cable snapped! Too many guys standing around in the line of fire.

  • i wold have re ralled it the same way smatr thinking!!!!

  • thats a German Gordioff if im correct!

  • 0:41 straight out of a friggin cartoon

  • What did he break

  • Great little Video thankyou ...... :-)

  • Great video !!

    Those spoke wheels look good.

  • So that's what those big bumpers are for! They fit perfect in the bucket of a front end loader.........mystery solved!

  • Is it just me or does the shed in the backround look like the same exact shed from Thomas the Tank Engine??? LOL

  • who didnt lock the turntable???..........

  • the cause ? poland = alcool ... xD

  • @Th0msh Your answer is not too smart... What is Belgium?!?

  • I've seen many videos of your locos and operations. Wonderful job on the care. someday when i finally make it to vacation in europe i must visit this line. When the historic pres group i am part of finishes our steam rebuilt I hope to get my licenses for steam. Keep up the hard work and dedication! Do you allow customers cab rides? or against railroad policy?

  • Instead of using a front-end loader to move that thing around, what if they just got an air compressor and charged the boiler up with some air?

  • polands newest piece of engineering... derailet LOOL

  • i dont know.. but the dozer were much more stronger then what i think . .

  • dało by radę wstawić cały film do końca? bo jestem ciekaw co siępotem wydarzyło ;-)

  • fail lol

  • just lift that shit back on there...come on, one guy can do it...lol

  • Oops

  • 2:27 ok, how do we stop it

  • what happened next? seems like the train's not gonna stop...

  • Wooow, was that Duck the engine in the background at 1:52?

  • @impulsw no lol duck is a GWR pannier tank high cab :)

  • Pociąg nie tak nice video

  • oops

  • dude who threw the level had an epic fail moment

  • looks like the axlebox was totaled in the derailment

  • Practical use of equipment to hand. No crane required, they just sorted it on the spot without calling umpteen different layers of "management" for approval.

  • To roadrash76 and BIASpotter.

Eastern European people are very smart and very resourceful with the things they have to hand. What would either of you done in that situation huh?

  • I would say they would be the guys... standing back and watching, scratching their ass saying.... oh fuck.. what do we do now?

  • @TristanDoran1 uuuuum yes

  • @TristanDoran1 I think in the UK it would be panic, rail inspectorate involved, re railing squad involved, loads of cones and risk assessments, 6 months public enquiry !

  • This railroad does not own a crane?

  • American freight car Style tender trucks

  • прикольно

  • @BIASpotter you call that simple?

  • Polak potrafi :)

  • OOPS!

  • I was in a steam train once, when the front wheels of the tender came off. was a slow derailment but scary as hell going over about 15 steel sleepers

  • How many Poles does it take to derail a train?

  • none just a truck! lol

  • @roadrash76 i'm a mechanic by trade and worked with many polish mechanics... some of the best mechanics i have ever worked with... in the trades crap happens, ever hear of murphy's law?

  • @roadrash76 lolol

  • @roadrash76 As many as it would any other ethnic group.

  • I wanted to see the end, looked very interesting.

  • kant those locomotives move themselves?

  • Nicely re-railed thou. Could of been alot worse. I was half expecting the buffers to be ripped off when they lifted it up.

  • @justandy333 tender was not loaded by the look of the springs so should not damage boffers.Done it loads of time re railing lifting on buffers due to could not get to lifting points never had any problems

  • man u guys suck

  • how was going to stop it there was no one in it lol and it was going faster

  • fancy trying to turn the table with a derailment ....................douche

  • Somebody buy these guys a little shunter to push these kettles around with please, lol

  • It's a bit hard to fit both a big steamer and a shunter on a turntable, the balance on it would be way off.

  • lmfao when that guy breaks the turntable lever...omg that looks like it was from a movie lmfao

  • It is, at least a movie on Youtube :p

  • haha ya, then he throws it down like damn it! lol

  • wouldnt it have been easier just to pull the locomotive from the front instead of pushing? they could have damaged the engine

  • some people say that the people of poland are, well, stupid. well let's wrap up the events in today's lesson. you managed to derail an old steam locomotive that was going about 1 mile and hour, you made the bold decision of lifting it and pushing with a bulldozer which could damage the engine even more, and, oh, you broke the goddamn turn table too. i think it's funny that after the camera man captured them all fucking up the guy just plays it cool after breaking the turn table stick RIGHT OFF!

  • STFU you racist bastard.

  • yeah? what you don't know about me is that i'm polish too. what you do know is that what these guys did in this video wasn't too bright.

  • still stuff like that isent right to say because am polish too.

  • If you are an american i can let you think so because lets face it everybody knows that the stupidest nation on earth is americans from USA

  • Mmm, true. Uh-oh, wait a minute. That was a very racist comment! Shame on you.

  • You're a hypocrite, posting things supporting we (Americans) are racist an then turning around and doing it yourself. You're a real piece of work...

  • why would you have an account on an american website then? just wondering.

  • ...because I'm an American. When I said I was Polish I didn't mean I was born in Poland. It's my heritage- my old man's Polish so I'm Polish too. Go figure.

  • No, that comment was for latvian01, he said americans are stupid, so i asked him why he was on an american site. sry for the confusion. nothing against polish ppl.

  • Oh. Well, that's cool. I don't have any pregidism abot me either, I just thought the guys in the video were irresponsible and foolsih. As far as latvian01 goes- I don't think he wants to talk. Ha-ha-ha.

  • Oh, oh, oh!

Lifting a locomotive at the buffers can deform or damage the entire frame!

by the way: has the handle of the turntable broken off?

  • I don't t hink they were lifting so much as pulling and pushing it with the buffers. Also, yes, it looks like he broke the turntable handle.

  • Well... The dumper bucket was placed behind the buffers of the locomotive.

So.I think that it could still have caused damage to the frame of the tender which I don't think can be fixed because locomotive's buffers are designed to have force put on them.

And I haven't seen this many accidents happen all at once.

Would it have been better to have a shunter just push the tender into the stall. Then come back for the locomotive?Instead of risking the damage given to the locomotive by a bulldozer.

  • @Ben31337l whould think be ok lift on buffers with empty tender done it loads of times re railing wagons when its been only place to lift .Was suprised the shovel lifted it when we attempted to use shovel it would not lift rail wagons we have to use 35 ton jacks

  • fair play!, they got her back on the road!

  • Interesting!

    What caused the derailment?

    The turntable moved?

    Why did that happen?

    Thank you.

  • The turntable was not fixed correctly. Thank You for watching.

  • @AndrzejMastalerz what did he break at 0:39 he got very disapointed

  • exelent footage :)

  • they should of put a tarpaulin on that wire rope, if it snaps, it won`t act like a big metal whip

  • wjechal do szopy przez zamkniete wrota czy sie zatrzymal???

  • ciekawe... pierwszy raz widzę manewry taboru przy pomocy fadromy... :)

  • przetrwały :d jestem z jaworzyny i widze to muzeum przynajmniej raz na 2 tygodnie :D

  • the tender is derailed

  • temu kolesiowi z fadromy brawa za precyzję

  • tak sie zastanawiam czy te wrota przetrwały??
