I don't mean to hurt or offend anyone, but I'm pretty sure River didn't have the same father as the rest of the Phoenix-kids. The other ones all look very alike (like their father), except for River. He does kind of look like their mother, but that's the only one he resembles. Doubt that's a coincidence. I have the same kind of family and only resemble my mother. He was the first born and they grew up in a cult, so gawd knows what went on there... Clearly the acting talent came from their momma.

Davis had heard the rumours and decided to take issue with River before meeting him. He'd worked hard, spending months detoxing and was clean throughout their shoot- but she started with a preconcieved idea about him, leading to her either ignoring him or being nasty which led to his being anxious and uncomfortable.

Whoa River sure seemed to had it tough with his family. I know they were Missionaries and always on the move...but this show really showed me the dark side. I didnt know River's father taught to sleep in bed with children, even when having sex ...with his wife.

I ve seen recently the Special Feature for the movie STAND BY ME were River also broke down for a brief moment during shooting...but Director Rob Reiner came over and comforted him!

the silhouette scene... it seems like somethin out of a scary movie and at the same time... such a sad moment. it seems to be the middle ground of the barrier between reality and fantasy... i imagine if the footage ever gets released, it would reopen the old wounds of the fans and the people who were fortunate to know river - again... knowing that was the last time he would ever be on camera. still, one can't help but to want to see it... to live through what river lived through until the end
