  • Hasta las cejas

  • The real World Record should be 10.64 to Carmeleter Jeter in 2009! Wipe Flo-jo, Marion Jones and all those GDR records off the books! I don't even trust the 10.73 of Christine Aarron! That makes second best ever 10.73 for Shelly-Ann Fraser in 2009 and third Ottey's 10.74 from 1996! Only my opinion!

  • RIP

  • WOW IT'S OVER NINE THOUSAAAAANNND

  • That is a tainted record , period. Flo-jo was on serious performance enhancement drugs and that is why she had a heart attack at such a young age.

  • @tom12658 she didn't have a heart attack she suffocated from a severe epileptic seizure her autopsy report proved she didn't uses performance enhancement drugs

  • Drugs.

  • they should delete that record. cmon, we all know she was cheating

  • ASS!

  • everybody know she was using drogs

  • I say let all athletes take drugs, if we get to see shit like this.

  • @Jairzinho121 taking steroids is dangerous idiot!

  • @Sweetcleopatraa If athletes willing to take risk, who we to judge? All athletes took performance enhancing drugs in the 50's. Whats the difference between supplements and PED's if you really think about it?

I say make nothing illegal, and let all humans run as fas as they can. Its the only way to find the truest champion, I dont care what substance they use from mother earth, I just wanna see the fastest runners ever, if they willing to take the risk, im willing to watch them run.

  • Great ass but definitely on drugs, you can tell from the way she ran. The fact her form just suddenly increased confirms my view.

  • bff... that was like 4m/s tailwind... everyone felt it... but anemometer says deadstill... ridiculous :D

  • good shit...

this is like the man was on the moon...

doping control was a joke... :)

  • cheat!

  • wow even wth her hair flowing didnt cause any aero drag

    she's a goddess

  • Oh God So fast !

  • @xaviqaz but its never been proven for joyner not sayin its not possible but her times werent wiped clean like marion jones and if she did do em its just another reason the worlds not fair

  • I wonder how many meters she would be back of Bolt's 9.58 record 100 meters he set in Berlin? I was watching the time clock and trying to judge how far Flo-Jo was from the tape at the 9.58 time mark.

  • Steroids

  • Can anyone say "CHEATER"???

  • thumbs up if you only watched for the ass

  • @Thesoulreplay fail

  • They tested her for drugs an it came back negative so fuck tht shit tht ya talkin

  • @isaac3rdcoin it came back negative for Marion Jones too

  • Bolt can run faster... :3 xD but she rocks still cuzz bolt is a boy so... if this was a boy she probebly run 8:49 :3

  • The woman was the epitome of beauty, style, and class. I was sick when I heard of her untimely passing. Women of today should take note. We miss you Flo Jo.

  • I remember the 88 olympics in Seoul korea and flo jo was tested a few time because people suspected she was taking some kind of steroid. I remember she always came out negative. she was tested at the same time ben johnson was tested as well and he came out positive for steroids. It's hard for people to fathom that a women can run that fast.

  • EPO

  • She was juiced...pure & simple

  • I find it funny how whites want to talk about... a lot of the black athletes doping.. when back then a lot More European athletes doped

  • @cjanez are you fucken kidding HAHAHA you have a 10.52 PLEASE the worlds fastest women on earth right now has a time of 10.68

  • They should just legalise all performance enhancing drugs and make it a free for all. Whichever athlete wins that country has the best drugs, simple

  • She was a beautiful woman, but, sadly she was dirty.

  • using Anabolic Androgenic Steroids, until me runs!

usando anabolizantes, até eu corro assim!

  • damn, i would tap that ass

  • @Mongoose900 Dat ass is dead...

  • @Mongoose900 too fast for you, you cant catch it

  • Jesus christ loves you all, he is coming for you all soon.

  • NO woman in the World will EVERRRRRRRRRRRRRRR break this record, even the US female atlethes are ssaying that this record is suspect, Alyson Felix said that she thinks the record should be scraped, the fastest woman in the world now is running 10:68 and thts Jitter

  • its a damn shame he quit track for FASHION....SHAME

  • damn, and i got 10.52. im gonna go try and beat it now

  • I actually can't believe that some people are trying to suggest that FloJo was clean. She is one of the most blatant examples of doping ever. A steady but unspectacular sprinter, who all of a sudden after years of medicrity gains drastically in muscle mass, grows a moustache, sets times that were beyond her own realms of possibility only 12 months previously, and then all of a sudden choses to retire - conveniently, a few months before the current drug testinf procedures were introduced. Idiots.

  • @iljn1988 Its because a lot of americans live in a dreamworld with miracles. Its because of the american dream "everything is possible". Its bullshit.

  • the biggest druggie of them all who paid the ultimate price!

  • Damn would all of you wannabe track and field experts shut the fuck up about if she used drugs and this dumb shit and just respect her as an great athlete! They couldn't prove then so stop fucking act like you can with that Wikipedia knowledge!!! Flo-Jo R.I.P.

  • @jaycavalli600 stupid ass u are

  • When you see photos of here from 1987 to 1988 she does not even look like the same person. The increase in muscle mass and definition is dramatic. My heart wants to believe she was clean but my eyes cant deny what seems to be obvious.

  • @andrewr62 Wikipedia: Florence Griffith-Joyner was tested during competition and did not fail any drug tests.

  • @SheIsSuckinMyDick : the US has the money to keep one step ahead of the drug tests...grow up & join the real world...

  • @kevinherbert So fuck the Anti-Doping Committee, I'm supposed to listen to sum random bum on Youtube?....Fuck outta here!..

  • @SheIsSuckinMyDick ben johnson did steroids for about 7 years and he didnt fail any drug test untill 1988. So this prooves nothing.

  • @PacoZola ....And YOU, some random Youtube troll saying she did use steroids, and there has been no proof of it whatsoever, proves nothing also.....Fuck outta here!

  • @SheIsSuckinMyDick at least I am not as ignorant as you are. just go on and believe in miracles

  • @ Jahfel, of course it's drugs. Noticed how she retired immediately after that race.

  • How many km\h???

  • She changed her style, not roids. She went from shoulders shifting to arms pumping which tremendously improved her times

  • @EASkateKrew tht does not calculate to you gaining .33 of a second in time, .05 maybe thts a big jump for arm n shoulder correcting

  • She was a complete CHEAT.

  • I don't think anyone can prove either way.

She was either a freak of nature, or on steroids or something.

I'm inclined to believe the latter, but that's how cynical I am.

The fact that nobody has come anywhere near it for 22 years must mean something.

  • " FLO JO" WAS THE GREATEST. I VIDEO TAPED THE OG RUN. FLASH AND FLARE, OG STYLE AND OG FINGER NAILS. "FLO JO" R.I.P.

  • HOW MANY KM\H?

  • SHE WAS DOPED!! And she died under mysterious circumstances!!!!!!

  • Aaaah, can't not be, no one can run that fast!

  • DRUGS DRUGS & MORE DRUGS, NOW THAT THE PLAYING FIELD IS LEVEL TALK TO US JAMAICANS IF YOU DARE!

  • @jahfet1 Hahaa but its funny how the U.S. has one female sprinter who actually has passed all her drug tests and has the number 2 all time in the 100m . No jamaican has been able to touch that :)

  • funny how usain bolt got 9.49. The men are still a full second ahead of the women.

  • Winded aided for sure. Look at her hair blowing.

    The wind was anywhere from 8 - 10 m/s.

The wind meter was not working that is why it showed 0.0.

  • definitely roids.

  • There is no proof either way on if she took drugs or not but this 10.49 didnt help her case as far as steroids is concerned. If anything this race made her look like she did. But this race was wind-aided without a doubt. The race that Carl Lewis ran within minutes of this race was a wind-aided race also. And they were talking about having problems with the wind gauge all day as well so if anything without accurate reading you have to not count the race.

  • @EntrepreneurLoveJr Doesn't explain why no-one even approached this time in similar conditions. Why no-one else in that race ran exceptional times. Why she improved that much so late in her career.

The records on the 100/200/400/800 (the steroid sensitive distances) have all been set in the 80s and they haven't been approached since. Even after developments in biomechanics and training methods.

Imo it's unfair to the athletes of today.

  • @AlbinoGoudvis Well the 100 record was broken countless times and so was the 200 and the 400 was knocked on by Wariner and now Rudisha is right at the door of the 800 m world record so thats not entirely true. She was always so much faster in the 100 then the other girls though so that doesnt mean anything. We will never know if she was doping or not.

  • @EntrepreneurLoveJr You're 100% correct about the men's records. Women's records at 100/200/400 though haven't even been approached in 20 years (except by Marion Jones).

It's revolting to take a look at the iaaf top lists of all time: all set in the eighties. And that just happened to be the time when girls looked like guys, when people got caught using steroids & testosteron, when experienced athletes gained half a second in a year at 100 meters.

  • @AlbinoGoudvis yeah and even that doesnt count cuz she said she took performance enhancing stuff. But Carmelita Jeter ran 10.63 and thats pretty close but noone has come too close to the 200 record or the 400 that is true. You never know. Sanya was droppin some 48s though so u never know.

  • @AlbinoGoudvis they are all on steroids and designer growth hormones now you naive idiot. just appreciate these 80's legends. yes we know flo-jo was geared up but so is everyone else in the line up.

  • @greggles1902 Yes, I can see everyone is/was equally geared up. It must have been the better air in eighties which produced all these exceptional athletes.

  • Even if this WAS wind-aided, how much wind could have been blowing to make her run almost .3 seconds faster than the world record?!

  • @19loosenecka19 u dont need much wind to run that much faster

  • wind aided....look how her hair is blowing after the race....lol

  • Though there's a 100% chance she took drugs, there's also a 100% chance she has the best DAT ASS 0:36 out of those other runners

  • @EltBerserker

    LOL

  • She's so muscular compared to herself in 1984.

  • 「追い風参考」かと思われているこの記録。謎のままジョイナーさんは死んだ。

  • She is really dope!, I dont think bolt is?

  • @simonslon ; FLO.FLO- TENIA AL 31-12-1987-100-10,96 EN 200-21,99-????COMO HIZO PARA COMENZAR EL AÑO 1988-CON 10,49-100-????? Y TERMINAR CON 21,34 -200?????????

  • Most of the people that criticize her on here probaly never got to watch her run.. Maybe not even born yet. She was GREAT Face up to it

  • No she isn't a good runner! if you gave dawn french as many drugs as flo jo used then she would be just as good. Flo Jo is the worst drug cheat in history, you don't just become amazing over night, it just doesn't happen

  • You are so ignorant. FloJo had a long trajectory in track spanning back to the early 1980s. She was always talented and her amazing times came as a result of a change in training regimen. She retired right after her amazing year to take advantage of endorsement and appearance deals. More years of competitive running was not lucrative.

Moreover, it takes more than imposing physical stature to be a sprint champion. Technique, competive temperament, nutrition, fitness, etc.

  • Well everyones entitled to their own opinion, of course yours is less valid and therefore automatically incorrect (don't try moaning that i'm using ad hominem)

She was a cheat, stop denying it

  • @elamantebilingue she retired so there would be less chance she would have been suspected of taking steroids, take the focus off of her suspicious improvement and celebrate the achievement.

  • @raff23 Do you know her? For you to say why she retired, requires to you have access to her brain, or to have been close to her and she told you.

Could she have retired because she accomplished everything there was to accomplish?

She won Olympic Gold medals...any sprinters dream.

She set world records....any sprinters dream

Do we forget that in 1984 she won an Olympic silver medal.

So obviously she was talented. Could that be why she retired?

  • @elamantebilingue -FLO-FLO TENIA AL 31-12-1987-10,96-100- Y 21.99-200

???????QUE HIZO PARA COMENZAR EN 1988 CON 10,49 Y TERMINAR CON 21,34-200-??????????????QUE TOMO????????

  • yeah great for a DRUGGIE yeah!

  • @crackergurl22 Before the 1988 season, Griffith Joyner's best 100 meter time was 10.96 seconds. In 1988 she improved that by 0.47 seconds, a time that no one has approached since. Similarly, her pre-1988 best at 200 meters was 21.96. In 1988 she improved that by 0.62 seconds to 21.34, another time which has not been approached.

  • @bzqtmg Yes,those are suspicious numbers for a 28 year old sprinter. Improvements like that don't happen with conventional training. I've worked with athletes since the 80's and 0.1 second improvements are hard to come by. You don't just blow away Gail Devers out of nowhere.

  • @drfittt To be fair, Devers wasn't exactly the star of the sprint world at this time. But the track world is filled with one season anomalies. Mike Marsh in 92. Juliet Cuthbert in 92. Usain Bolt in 08. Fraser in 08. Carmelita Jeter in 09. And who said her training was "conventional?" You don't get to do extraordinary things ANYWHERE by doing what everyone else is doing.

  • dope

  • They drugged as much as the east europeans did. Seems fair. Hate drugs.

  • a whole heap a drugs!!!

  • A LOT of drugs btw

  • She really USAD drugs!

  • " can not be, no one can run that fast "

  • haha, the commentator was stunned

    disbelieving!

  • wow..that was fast and she's gorgeous
