Too much splash damage. Also, being suppressed lowers your aim as well as your sight ability, making it very hard to fight back to. The fact that it has a large magazine size, and the fact that it gets automatic fire with splash damage rounds makes it extremely overpowered. I have literally gone from 100% health to 66% health in one shot from a USAS-12 FRAG at 150 meters or more.
If you play hardcore like me, this gun is super op. one shot to the leg with this thing ( frag rounds ) then your dead. Its very op and needs a slight damage nerf.
This and the Famas are the only guns I die to anymore. What's more amazing is playing a game where there's any CQC at all and NOT finding those 2 guns.

Even without frag rounds its still amazing. yesterday at my friends house i went 22 and 1, and 25 and 6. if you use that gun with extended mag a ok sight and a buckshot its insane still.

on pc you got those sharp small aims but on console its harder to aim directly and whit the usas u dont need have perfect aim so thats why its on on console i dk on pc

The best way to nerf this gun is to remove the frag rounds from the USAS-12 and keep them with the MK3 because it's harder to get a kill with that slower rate of fire

@Bfizzle62 the gun is fine but the frag rounds make it retarded, like lvlcap says, its a mini grenadelauncher, the whole problem is with the frag rounds, they suppress so good that you can't get up the stairs at metro without being insta suppressed by some douchetuber with a usas12 fraground spamming with zero sense of aim. Just spamming the ceiling above the stairs and hope someone gets hit. Fortunately that seems to be fixed now.

People will always find something to complain about. Why stop at nerfing this weapon? usas + frag rounds + pre patch IR scope + extended mags + extra suppressive effect perk = the most annoying thing in BF3. Although I do agree with Level Cap, it isn't as OP as people say it is.

@pwnfluffy dont remove the frag rounds, my saiga will be useless without them. and i did try out usas frag, hes right, assault rifles and often even carbines will outgun you, and in open areas you pretty much have to sneak up on them. i think the most op thing about it is that when you hit someone with the splash damage, it tells them which direction the damage comes from, so they still dont have that immediate ring telling them which direction they're being shot from.

The frag rounds don't behave like they do in this video anymore. Frag rounds were nerfed significantly. Stop crying, I've probably died to a usas maybe 5 times in all my time playing bf3.

@ExoticlyExtreme I'm pretty sure having 70 hours of experience on the topic proves that I do know what I am talking about. Holding a USAS doesn't stop bullets from hitting you. If you just shoot them, they die the same as anyone else. Frag rounds do less damage than buck but with increased suppression. I think you need to look at the stats instead of telling me that I don't know what I'm talking about.

You can't even come close to someone with these rounds. And even if you do, 1 round to the feet body is enough to stun and kill you. Dont practice what you don't fucking preech.

I jumped into a game to test ranges the frag rounds and I got a hit marker on a guy at 30m but he then immediately killed me and he still had 94% health remaining. Are you on PC? I don't have to be a level 999 to know what I'm talking about. I haven't been shotgun sniped or seen it in person. You can kill someone at 100m with how many bullets? Hardcore?

People will always find something to complain about. Why stop at nerfing this weapon? Why not nerf the tank so out is less affective to ground troops and while we are at it lets nerf the helicopter to be less effective to the tank and the jet less effective to the helicopter and then once they are all nerfed they will say that the SPS of each weapon is too high so we should lower that and dumb down the entire game to make it fair for everyone just like life is fair. I once shot a guy with a sniper on Kharg Island at 200m, I missed and hit him the the leg. He then turned in my general direction and started spraying. Unfortunately, he had the USAS with frag rounds and killed me in about 4 hits... Not raging, but IT'S FREAKING OP!!!

its true the weapon does suck to face but its really not that good unless you're an amazing player and you can just own. all the noobs that use this firearm usually go about even on the K/D. Its just crappy because it requires no skill to use once you get the frags and the damage from the rounds going off next to you is retarded. sorry but yeah I did use the gun for a while but its no fun to use cause you feel guilty and like a faggot. They will nerve the usas a bit in the February patch (it might come out in begin March though).

@pwnfluffy dont remove the frag rounds, my saiga will be useless without them. and i did try out usas frag, hes right, assault rifles and often even carbines will outgun you, and in open areas you pretty much have to sneak up on them. i think the most op thing about it is that when you hit someone with the splash damage, it tells them which direction the damage comes from, so they still dont have that immediate ring telling them which direction they're being shot from.
