The song has been inspired by Jeff Buckley in 1994 where Thom Yorke and Colin Greenwood attended his show on September 1 (Thursday) in London at the Garage, Highbury. Colin Greenwood told UK music magazine Mojo how Radiohead returned to the studio after the show and recorded their
classic Fake Plastic Trees - a performance which had been eluding them for days."
The reason Radiohead is underappreciated is because most people do not have the depth to their character to relate to what is some of the best music to ever exist. When I hear someone has not heard them, I truly hurt for that person. To live on earth and not get to appreciate this? How sad to miss out...
i guess the reason why you couldn't hear anyone singing back to radiohead is because it's such a beautiful song and everyone there was all intoxicated by the music and left it all to thom yorke to portray this image of fake plastic trees who clearly does the best at it, no one else can compete, thumbs up!
