@Alexn1067 they could, but the world copied the mauser like a dirty slut because it was the pinnacle of bolt actions simplest to use while being "soldier proof."
@tielemaniak Nun gut, dann gibts da ja nichts einzuwenden, für mich sah das einfach nach einer unpraktischen Stellung aus. Was mich interessieren würde ist, wo das ist.
Nope, I shouldn't, I don't hit jack shit shooting off hand, not lying about it, just for fun.. the nerve in my right lower arm is messed up, shaking like hell if there is any pressure is on it ;)
7.92x57 is a popular hunting and sporting ammo, so they still make it. Those are pretty expensive though, but they still have plenty of surplus ammo from countries like turkey, former yugoslavia etc on the market.
WOW....That baby packs a PUNCH. I can tell you're using delinked MG ammo. It's hot stuff. Stay away from the Nickel Plated Turkish surplus....VERY HOT. Brass case or steel? Any bad pressure signs?
amazing sound :) i love it

I'd rather take my G3, with a 20 or 28 round magazine.. delivers about the same amount of punch, but faster and with easier reloads.. ;)

does the kick hurt
rickieingle101st 1 year ago
@rickieingle101st
It's just a 7.92x57.. not an elephant rifle. It packs some punch, but even much heavier punch will not hurt you if you shoulder it properly.
tielemaniak 1 year ago
@tielemaniak....I have heard from people that it hurts, but that just could be the way they handle it.
rickieingle101st 1 year ago
@rickieingle101st Just the first two shots a little,then the rifle quickly becomes familiar to you and your shoulder.
Is not at all difficult to handle and it's very fun to use at the shooting range.

agreed. I do love mosins tho. :p

@AllGunsConsidered the Mosin rocks
rickieingle101st 1 year ago
@DasBeck many would argue that the Mosin Nagant and especially the Lee Enfield would be there on top.
Reason I leave out Springfield 03 is that it was in part based off of the mauser action

German Military? In Canada we shoot the Enfield Mk.4
RazorCell7 2 years ago 6
Don't worry, this is civil ;) they use the G36 these days..
tielemaniak 2 years ago 2
oh yes I know that but if you're under age
here in Canada and England you can join Cadets and or the Reserves if you're under 18
and I know for a fact that in the Cadets you fire the Enfield rifle and the Reserves the C7
I was just wondering if they have something like that that you can join the Military while under age?
and if so do they fire the K98

I don't have a clue, I'm 31 years old

do they make fireable replica mauser k98 rifles that fire .22 bullets?
kingkirki49 2 years ago
Not that I know off. There were rimfire K98s (6mm) for training purposes in WWII ,but they cost a lot more then regular K98s.
For K98s isn't really a replica market, because there are plenty of them left, and the (surplus) ammo doesn't cost much. Atleast here in Europe.
