I honestly don't think anyone will ever score over 92 goals. For that to happen somebody truly phenomenal has to come along with a skill set that is ahead of our time, much like how Gretzky was when he played. But i sure as hell would love to see that record broken. The only player who has the potential as of now is Ovechkin, but i don't think he could even do it.

its not possible anymore with how the rules as well as how the game has changed... superstar forwards are hit more often, you dont see as many coast to coast plays anymore, and with shot blocks practically becoming a stat in the nhl its amazing for anyone to hit 60 like ovechkin did last year.. will he do it again this year? its unlikely... but 90+ goals? that will be impossible now. also, look at the goal tending when Gretzky played.. most of them were standup goalies.. now its mostly butterfly
