nissan are very light 4x4 with a small block diesel (from the datsun laurel) and with a lot of problems (electronic and injection pump) better the mercedes

fun to watch, but this has nothing to do with either power nor with tyres nor anything else. It's all about longitudinal momentum and the resulting slip when the longitudinal counterforce is "tried" to be put down on the ... eh ... ground. Or translated: once the nissan pulled the - at that time - stationary G to a certain speed it had no chance to get enough grip back. It's the same with the Benz pulling the Nissan a bit over to the right during the first half of the video...

the big baloon tires are killing the nissan's traction, I've seen vehicles with big tires like that that can't go anywhere, then when you put smaller tires on it it gets all it's traction back. Keep things as close to stock as possible and you get the best results....

@axke Not all the patrol's have locked diff most of them have a rear Limited slip differential. Got the information from wikipedia. So I don't think that one got locked diff but, I could be wrong!

@sqeler I can only speak on experience. all the patrols i've "met" so far had locked diff... but a limited slip diff would be easier and cheaper i guess... anyway, a patrol CAN have locked diff :p maybe NOT all do :)

Il G non è un turbo diesel,li ha meno potenza e tiro...tra l'altro il patrol ha le gomme larghe mentre il g strette e ha meno tiro,aderisce meno a terra...non è alla pari...
