Hi, where did you get the information where you said ravana was a tamil king who lived 40, 000 years ago? According to astronomical dating, Mahabali was a king of Kerala, and went to South America in 17,000 B.C. So how can he be younger than Ravana?

@ashiq85 Mahabali lived far earlier than 40 000 years ago. Your source is flawed. I'm basing my estimation on when the Tamil language was created and according to a highly respected source.

u sure he lived 40 000 yrs ago?? cuz geology and ancient tamil epics say that Kumarikkandam existed until somewhere between 40 000-50 000 years ago.and at this point in time both eezham and tamilnaadu were incorporated into that much larger landmass.

but according to ramayana eezham(srilanka) was independant from tamilnaadu.

@ajvarath I'm not sure of the exact date, could even be 50 000 years but its roughly around there. To get an accurate dating you would need to get the dates of the different Yuguas. I'm sure Tamil existed before Ramayana, but I don't think Ceylon was ever connected with India.
