Anybody who uses "Target Demographics" as part of the lyrics is trying a little too hard...But I Love It and it's catchy as hell!

awsome i missed malichi rogders here in columbia,sc he use to work for abc columbi wach fox 57 and wis news 10 here. now both derek james and reg taylor work @ both abc columbia and fox charlotte. cute video it is great

They mean "gay" as in happy.
It never meant homosexual back in the day, other than as slang.
and you know just how much weight slang carried in those days.
The word was used in children shows by Disney too, the three caballeros for example.
The song they sung had a part that went "the three caballeros, three gay caballeros" or something like that.
