I agree! (I almost made a really bad pun by saying 'I aGLEE'. Erm.) Sometimes Glee is really good and surprising, and sometimes it's just really really bad. I'm not a very big fan of the show because of the music, either. Most of the time, I don't like the songs they are covering.

But I do love Glee for some unexplicable reason. Or, more accurately, I know why I love/hate Glee (yep. Another bad pun) but it would take more than 500 characters to explain it.

Becky i love listening to you speak and not because of your accent, but the way you pair certain words it a linguistic melody. Also...you are right about glee. I'm struggling to get past episodes like the Rocky Horror Picture Show and the Britney Spears episode. It would have been better if they didn't try to work a plot into it.

I had the same thing as you, I really didn't want to watch Glee until I started watching it eventually. I'm glad I did, it's fantastic ^_^ last season has been a bit of a drag lately though... I hope it gets better soon.

Not a Glee fan, but I do agree that when they hit it, they hit it hard. Duets was by far the best episode, while Britney/brittany and the RHPS episodes were terrible.

I think this season of Glee is getting pretty bad. The Britney episode was horrific, and so was the Grilled Cheezus episode. I'm the opposite of you, I watch it only for the music, cause I don't really like any of the characters except for Artie.

@chelseariffic I agree that this season is pretty disappointing. 'Duets' is the only episode that has really blown me away so far; all the rest have had their moments but been kinda 'meh' overall.

They're not bad cameras. Have you ever gotten a new video camera? They cost a lot of money. All the people on the Love Hate Society have better things to spend their money on at the moment. I'd rather have them with bad visuals then no camera to entertain us at all.

It's the drawbacks that really get to me. When it misses, all we're left with is just a bunch of songs. And unlike a HOARD of fans who relentlessly praise everything about it simply because they're top 40 junkies, that's not enough for me to fall back on.

When it hits, it hits hard (Duets is probably THE best episode of the show), but when it misses... it's painful. The worst of the show is when they try to fill in plot around the songs. It just doesn't work. Focus on the characters, yeah?
