clubbies are heavy cars but its all about getting the lowest possible torque curve. For instance my VZ R8 which weighs 1700kg and is automatic has been tuned, with difilippo exhaust system and headers, OTR intake, balancer and pulley upgrade. Pulled 283rwkw and because of the factory 3:46 ratio, it goes like lightning off the line. It was timed from 0-100km in 4.3 sec and pulled 12.4sec down the 1/4 mile in street trim. It so much depends how you put your foot on the throttle.

This clubby is 7 years old you dolt, try comparing the Aurion to a current clubby, well I suppose you can't, 'cause there's NO comparison. The Aurion is shit, even with a huffer bolted on to its engine.
Did it in 6.8secs and the quarter in 14.8secs in an Aurion Prodigy during a recent Motor Magazine test. Results from the magazine are generally fairly accurate as well.
To bad its an Auto, the torque converter used in automatic transmissions just slows you down, you get more ponies to the blacktop quicker if you use a 6 speed
I got a VZ clubsport R8 tuned, full exhaust system and extractors OTR intake.
I got 285rwkw and mine is auto as well.
The auto in the VZ HSV has been worked well and even better from the tuner. it shifts much quicker than the manual. the auto is also faster off the line. the only way to beat it would be with a rip shift.
Interestingly the 6.0L probably is better suited to just 4 gears as opposed to 6 as you would not find any real good use for that many gears. The 5.7L on the other hand was known to do its best up high so therefore the more sensible lower ratios from the 6.0L 6 speed would actually go well with the 5.7L

no way thats modded my vxss actually has a set of hsv headers off that model they came off a vy clubsport s1 (260kw) and im running standard cats and a twin 2 1/2 catback with a rebuilt box and ide bust that.. maybe not by much but anything above that 40mark ide pull away..

i own a vx ss with extractors and catback it makes 220rwkw and its a Manual 6 speed and it makes your 4spd auto look like a v6 commy.. get a manual or upgrade your box

@paradigmmaker Ah yes, but they DO come from the factory WITH a turbo 6 and YES they are faster than 5.7 Clubsports and YES my FG XR6T is as fast, and in-gear FASTER than anything HSV can produce at a fraction of the cost ! As for an NA 4.0 litre 6 - it would certainly give this thing a run for it's money ! Just search for FG G6 0-100 and get on board ! Carrying on about F.I. would be like me saying that HSV's would be even more useless if they didn't increase their cubic capacity every week...
