  • Nice! I bought an OLD kawasaki - I've noticed some disturbing softness in the front forks. I'll be changing over the fork oil this weekend - and I found your video. Thanks Mr Canadian, from, Mr Australian.

  • Fork cap torque should be OK at 22 Nm (2.2 kg/m, 16 ft lb)

  • @Lierwuw I forgot to mention : I believe it will make a big difference once you lift the bike up in the front so the weight is of the wheel, not?

  • Thanks, this perfect. I was trying to change the oil on my XJ 600s today, and ran into exactly the same problems you bring up. Shot the top cap off like a bottle rocket.... We'll see how it goes tomorrow.

  • Yes it would be easier to take the weight of the forks but still a very helpfull video

  • So do you have to lift the bike up on the jack? or is it better to leave it on the ground?
