  • Wolfwood not wanting to die that moment made it much sadder! :/

  • If I am reincarnated...I'd like to live where life is easier. Somewhere with nothing but peaceful days. Somewhere with no stealing....or killing.

    Eden.

In Eden...I can live happily with him...and the girls...

  • OH WOLFWOOD ;_;

  • His death in the manga is even sadder because you know so much more about his past, and Vash is by his side the whole time, and they have a heart to heart chat, Wolfwood told Vash that he finally got to see Vash smile for real, and Vash didn't know he was about to die, and then he just ceased life. Vash was so emotionally distraught that he used his angel arm. All it needed was this song playing and I could probably bathe in those tears.

  • @ninjamitsuki I thought the anime's version was more poetic because it was about him reflecting the wrongs he did in life, which was far from how he wanted to turn out to be, and Vash helped him to realize that. The manga's version was also sad, but it was for a different reason. Whereas the anime delved into the moral consequences of his actions, the manga was about looking back at his childhood and having to depart from his home and all the orphans. They're equally sad to me.

  • @ElegeantFencer Ah, those are good points.

I'm kinda tsundere for the anime, I try to say that I hate it and act like a typical Umineko fan, but deep down I just love it.

  • My absolute favorite scene in the whole series... R.I.P. Wolfwood... That part always gets to me. )':

  • finally I found this beautiful song, Now I need the tabss :)

  • I can't stand it...

  • How this could make people think on suicide?, this is a beautigul song...of peace...with reference to God for the "aleluya", it doesn't matter which God (good ones), but all people think different than everybody, The fact that someone think about suicide means that doesn't know how to interpret songs and that they need help with that depression

  • Weird, I was just listening to "Go to Rakuen"(Wolf's Rain OST) and then I type in Trigun OST , well this song popped up. ^.^

  • I DID NOT WANT TO DIE THIS WAY

  • I'm back again...just to stop and listen....

  • does anyone know where i can get the guitar tab for this?

  • @freedomstripe tabs.ultimate-guitar(DOT)com/t/tsuneo_imahori/rakuen_tab.htm

  • @heartdyedpurple thanks. working on it right now :)

  • Wonderful song and one of the saddest death scenes I've ever seen. Not only did he question his whole life, he also objected against his death until the very end - very unique since most of the time dying characters get some sort of acceptance during that moment.

The repeating "Halleluja" in this song always reminds me of all the things he tells god that remain unanswered, it's such a desperate and sad picture.

  • Who the hell actually disliked this song?!?!?!?!?!?! WHAT IS THERE NOT TO LIKE???????

  • nice song... bela música

  • Zero dislikes? This world really 'is' made up of love and peace.

  • Praise the Lord. I remember this scene made me weep so much! Beautiful series and beautiful song!

  • You ar right, screw everyone else if they see something wrong in me for not following the same path that they have choosen, or for believing in the same thing that they do, or for thinking the same way that they do, I'm never going to be able to get them to see things the. Way I do.(They are too damn stubborn I've tried) I'm just gonna keep on keeping on, fuck them in the ear if they are too ignorant or just too stupid to realize that not everyone needs to be the same. :')

  • @atomisk19 :D

  • This song is sort of two-sided in that it sadly reflects upon things you have done wrong that you want to confess, and at the same time it shows hope for the future and the happy days that may come from realizing your wrong doings.

  • I am catholic, I have gone to church and I have read the bible, but how are those thing going to make be truly believe, I seriously want to believe no lie, it would be awsome if I could have that faith, but those things don't prove anything. I am truly sorry, I'm not trying to disprove anyones faith but I can't find a way to believe in that myself.

  • @atomisk19 You don't have to be catholic. Vash basically has no religion, but he looks to Rem for wisdom and guidance. To put it simply, we all live by our own standards, yet we can all still be counted on to do the right thing no matter what path we take. Religion, atheism, whatever floats your boat. So choose your own path and find meaning in it. Nobody can force you to believe in something you don't believe in.

  • @ElegeantFencer Not really true. There are many people who can not live to what they believe in because of others. In my entire life, I have seen too many people with masks because it is what is accepted. Because if you are different, you are wrong. You are bad. It is enough to tire you out when you see not a single sincere person in your day. Such is the society some live in. Where, no matter what, you are wrong, and everyone else is right in a whirlpool of forced monotony and uniformity.

  • @ChReNiC What I'm saying is that we can all choose to believe what we really want to believe in, and still be good people at the same time. I'm trying to encourage atomisk to not let himself get peer-pressured into the "whirlpool of forced monotony and uniformity" that you mentioned. He doesn't have to be a catholic if he truly doesn't want to be one. You just have to build up the courage to stand up for your own beliefs.

  • @ElegeantFencer But its not only religion. I live in a place where unless you act drunk and take nothing seriously, you have mental problems. Its baffling when adults encourage this behavior. When your home becomes a place where you dont fit in, when your feelings are universally-funny jokes, when everything just doesn't let up the moronity. Everyone has the same personality. What I mean is, there are people who live where they dont fit, and standing up does nothing.

  • I don't belive in god, but I think that its nice that people have something they can belive in, even if god doesn't exist religion comforts dying people, gives streght and hope to those that need it, it makes those people tht feel that they are terrible people change themselves, gives peace of mind, and those people that do believe in god want to help other people to. Even if it doesn't exist I think its a good thing. I wish I could belive in God or my religion, I want to soo badly. :')

  • @atomisk19 just believe, pick up a bible and start reading, go to church. god is awesome and he is real. Just try to believe

  • That picture is what I envision Heaven to be like and this song would just play in my head as I just sit back and relax and stare into that sunset...

  • I actually cried hearing this along with Wolfwood dying.

I knew it was going happen. But when I watched the whole series and it came up to this part. Man.

  • This song just made me tear up. Its so beautiful...

  • this song feels peace and redemption and so do I...

  • I really liked this song, and I thought it was really calming and all that, until I realized what scene it was from and I teared up.

  • All I can say is hallalujah and Praise Jesus.

  • @guydynamic Aww.. so you're delusional and uneducated. Nice that you enjoy the piece of music though :)

  • @AndreaAuriel Is there a specific reason you feel the need to try to tear me down? I have done nothing to you, I am simply expressing my faith. Jesus Christ was the one true God, whether you believe that or not is up to you but please do not insult me just because we have a difference in beliefs.

  • @guydynamic that was awesome how you wrote that

  • "i did not want to die this way..."

  • Although I'm no super believer I still can love what hallelujah means. Love and Peace :)

  • This was the song I was listening to at the moment my Grandmother died. This has become so hard to listen to, but it is so damn amazing.

  • LOVE AND PEACE!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I love this song it puts my soul at ease.

  • dam i thought you guys would know better being Trigun fans...LOVE AND PEACE!!! :D

  • How stupid. So we're supposed to believe "hallelujah" as a word turns you away from this song? Perhaps one day you'll think a little harder about what matters and what doesn't and then have the guts to own up. Enjoy wallowing in your bigotry.

P.S. Don't insult other people's intelligence when you can't even spell correctly, moron.

  • @orangejump11 Don't bother. If that was the reason you'd have said so in your reply to the first guy.

  • @orangejump11 If anything, the song fits the story, the son plays for Wolfwood, a priest who meets his end in a church. It is a befitting song

  • Comment removed

  • @orangejump11 Just sayin. I myself am a complete atheist. I think the bible is the worst thing humanity as been given. For me, though, as a musician, this piece is absolutely beautiful, so beautiful, i can look past the "hallelujah."

More so, if you look at my comment i wrote, "If anything" meaning i understood you didn't like it, but it fit.

  • Comment removed

  • This reminds me of someone I once knew, not so long ago.

    I miss him.

I wish I had the chance to get to know him better.

  • @orangejump11

let me guess you're a cool 13 year old internet tough guy that's an atheist?

  • Comment removed

  • @orangejump11 I'm an atheist as well but hallelujah in this song doesn't bother me. The song isn't very religious at all and even Wolfwood in the show was a priest only in name. The usage here isn't of praise either. More of a sad, slightly twisted version. As long as I don't get the feeling of mindless worship, I'm able to look past some of the lyrics. It would be a shame to pass over this song just because of that.

  • @Seikhupatz i was gonna say something similar to this, but you took the words out of my mouth man.

  • This song was created to make you refllect on the wrong a person has done, not provoke suicide. I listen to this song when i am down and it actually puts me in better spirits. Anyone who says it gives them thoughts of suicide oviously had thoughts of it before this song. Ignorance is bliss, but most of the time intolerable.

  • @TotalGenoside You have a beautiful soul my friend ^_^

  • @TotalGenoside agreed, it has the intensity of a sorrowful song, but in a calming way.

  • @TotalGenoside Thank you so much for putting it this way. This song makes me feel redemption, gratitude and nostalgia. Everytime I hear it I start to tear up and think of Wolfy. Hell, my screen name is even based on this.

  • @TotalGenoside Yeah, well that's just like, your opinion, man

  • @Cause4concern19 Trololololo

  • My friends and I call this 'suicide guitar' Try listening to this when things are not going well.

  • 3 people should be shot and hung.

  • Thank you so very much Yasuhiro Nightow and Tsuneo Imahori for opening up my heart... It is too bad I can't meet you guy cause I wanna give you a biiiiig hug! =]

  • I did a cover of the trigun theme check it out. :3

  • Whenever it is my time to pass on I would love for this song to somehow be playing.

  • @Liar805 Well Wolfwood wouldn't agree but I do. A perfect song to play while someone is spilling their heart out or their last words.

  • "My name is Vash. I have been a hunter of peace chasing the elusive mayfly known as love..for many many moons now. There is no rest for me in my search of peace. I meditate diligently every morning, the subjects are life and love. I quit after 3 seconds. In my search for peace I also train diligently. Thanks friend and farewell. I have also made it my mission to teach the precious value of peace to the children who will one day own the world."

  • Every time I hear this song I cry. I find my self humming it in public a lot. Poor wolfwood. But this song also helps me feel at peace.

  • @Delmeus Yeah, I hum it alot too, though I do it by accident. It's embarrassing when all of my classmates start staring at me weirdly when I do it. Still love this song though. xD

  • Tema perfecto para el gran Wolfwood.

  • Don't get me wrong when im saying this, Trigun is my favorite anime, but I think the death of Wolfwood was to sudden (If you've read the manga you know what im talking about). Still a great song though. I love to play this on guitar, its awesome!

  • @Torkan91 Well, it's handled fantastically well in the anime, isn't it?

  • @Rezindez Huh?

  • @Torkan91 Wolfwood's death. They spent the entire episode focusing on his frustration and the tears in his psyche. As soon as he makes the right decision, he is killed for it. Saying I enjoyed the anime adaptation of his tragic demise would be an understatement.

  • @Rezindez Well... What I don't understand about your previous comment is that you made it sound like I agree with you, even though I told you that I thought his death was to sudden in the anime. It felt like everything was rushed and they barely showed anything about his childhood. And nothing about the eye of michel.

  • @Torkan91 Oh.

  • @Torkan91 That was intentional and part of the appeal of the show. The director wanted things to be subtle and simplistic, yet in the underbelly it's somewhat complex and symbolic. I personally love the pacing of the anime and it made me feel more attached to Wolfwood- that we got to know such a great man for such a short time.

  • @ElegeantFencer Yes but I still feel like they left out to much, Livio for example, everything about his, wolfwood and legatos childhood, much more about the plants and it gets soooo much more serious in the manga. Not to mention there is some really badass fightscenes :D

  • @Torkan91 Yeah, but the anime was made in 1997. They were on a low budget, so they had to make the story shorter. The manga wasn't finished yet around that time. So the whole Eye of Michael thing couldn't be fully established. Plus, Livio doesn't appear until volume 8 if I recall, which came out years later after the anime finished. So Livio wasn't even perceived by Nightow yet.

  • @ElegeantFencer I know, thats why they should have waited. The storyline in the manga is much darker, brutal and violent. Not as much crying etc. but more action ^^ I think the anime would have been better if they waited longer and followed the manga. It would also have had much better animations as well.

  • @Torkan91 Are you saying crying makes you a wuss? Because I have to disagree there. I cried alot when I watched the anime. It taught me that nobody deserves to take the life of another. In the manga Nightow decided to make the series darker and give it a bigger emphasis on action so it could be different than the anime. So as I see it, both the anime and manga are nearly TWO different things. I found the anime to be silent and philosophical, while the manga was intense and action-packed.

  • @ElegeantFencer No im not saying that. I think that Vash was great in the anime as well, but a little bit too emo... I mean, of course it's not weird that he would be sad after all that have happened, but I think they took it a bit too far. But thats just my opinion. And yeah, I also heard that. I think he said that if the new Trigun movie sells well he will consider remaking the anime.

  • @Torkan91 And if it makes you any happier, Nightow recently stated there is a good possibility there will be a remake of the anime that is much more based on the Trigun Maximum storyline.

  • @ElegeantFencer WTFF?!?!?!? LINK PLSZ!

  • @Torkan91 Personally, I disagree about the anime being better if it had waited and followed the manga. Yeah, it would have been more action packed, but I think there are already plenty of anime's if you just want action. Part of what makes Trigun special is how philosophical it is.

  • @Torkan91

I don't that that more action makes an anime better. To me, Trigun was nearly perfect. Not because of the action, but because of the characters. The story was simply superb.

  • @oyeboy94 Agreed. Trigun didn't need to rely on heavy action. The story, characters, and philosophy alone is what made Trigun such an excellent series.

  • @HeatLegs

Indeed. I didn't find the show great because of the action. It instead made up for it with the dramatic and emotional story. Personally I found it to be one the best story's of any anime I've seen so far.

  • @HeatLegs Yeah...the action was just a bonus and the fact that he fought to "not kill" them was even more amazing.

  • That's true...I think TRIGUN was made to teach people that we have more choices than we think and that we have easy and hard choices, sometimes the hard choices are the best ones, but sometimes we'd need the easy choices to save something that we want to protect, even easy choices can become hard ones...that's why it doesn't focus on heavy action...but marketing doesn't sell peace

  • @Yorcont Very true.

  • @oyeboy94 Same here, Love Trigun that and Cowboy Bebop are equal to me.

  • @FlamesKnightX12488

    I love Cowboy Bebop too.

  • Hope they remake the anime with the things from the manga to make people watch the first one. Cause maybe they could make shit TRIGUN by putting too much gore, but those who really search will find out how beautiful it was and maybe...just maybe, they learn something more of value to their lives or remember why we still here...

  • @Yorcont Agreed. I would love to see a Trigun Maximum anime.

  • @ElegeantFencer Could somehow we ask them to make it again??? we'd need to speak japanese, don't we?...since they re-make DBZ to DBKAI XD that's almost a garanty :D

  • This song is good, but I think Yamane-san's "Blue" (from Cowboy Bebop) has it beat (if you want it as a funeral song).

  • honnestly its just a wonderful peaceful song , but everytime i listen to it makes me sad , because it just reminds me of wolfwoods death

  • I have this song on cd, and I listien to it every time I drive to school...which is 71 miles away, no joke.

  • @XXRavethedrummerXX When do you have to wake up?

  • @Rezindez an hour and a half befor hand...it's a boring drive, but this song makes it better. Just imagine driving to this song, while the sun is rising in the side vew. Beautiful.

  • @XXRavethedrummerXX So you have to wake up at six-thirty? Sounds painful.

  • @Rezindez Yea...it is. I'll be moving close to my school next month, and it wont be so bad. But for now, it is what it is lol.

  • One of the best songs period that I've heard.

  • We keep struggling against god since the day we are born, unable to accept his words of wisdom, because we whant to have it our way and because they sow us our flaws. And when the final day comes...we find out how foolish we are.

Haleluya comes from " hallet-lu-Yáh", an hebrew expresión that means "Praise yah" (yah, an abbreviation of yahve,)

  • This song made me cry! It's so beautiful, touched my heart really deep, so sad and so expression that have...

  • at my funeral i want this song......

  • when i have a little girl im gonna sing/play this for her every night so she'll sleep good. yep thats what ima do. such a beatiful song....

  • @EstevanMusic That's so sweet. Now that I think about it, this song makes for a perfect lullaby. If I have a child I should do that too. :D

  • @HeatLegs everybody who reads this should do it. The children are the future and this song would help brighten that future :)

  • @EstevanMusic Agreed 100% 'cause the ticket to the future is always open, as Rem would say.

  • @HeatLegs Yeah! nice quote.

Kenshin and Vash should team up and fix this world. :)

  • i felt so bad for wolfwood, dying alone in that church. one of the few times i cried from an anime

  • wooollllfffwooooodddd

  • when I hear this song I feel a great sense of peace. make me feel so good.

  • Amazing song. Allellujah.

  • Rest in Peace, Wolfwood.

  • i really dig the song, but the guy singing kind of kills it for me. sounds like he is trying too hard.

  • PEACE PEACE PEACE !

  • Hey, this is the song played during "You Know Who's" death!

  • relax and mellow out

  • Great song.

  • This song is in the Trigun: The 2nd Donut Happy Pack right??

  • Yep!

  • @LeoJM777 I downloaded both albums and i dont have that song in it!

  • @LeoJM777 Nevermind! It's called paradise haha. I love that song!

  • love this song

  • Life Song

  • RIP Wolfwood.

  • This song just made me want to rewatch Trigun ~

  • It's a beautiful song, but it makes me cry about every time I listen to it.

  • best song in the serie

  • Hallelujah~

  • esta cancion :D me pone triste T_T pero me gusta mucho :D estas 10 puntossss y massss jajajja xD

  • don't know why you have thumps down but i feel ya.

  • He was to be the protector of the orphans, the man of the cloth, the one who would guide our hero towards achieving peace, and now all of those ambitions were broken and shattered. He admitts it. He looks up at the sky once more, catching his final glance of the world in the beautiful rays of light. As if the light would hear him, as if anybody would hear him, he expresses his sorrow and regret through this final sentence, demanding for his life: "I did not want to die this way!"

  • @HeatLegs You're talking about the dub, right? In the subbed version, which should probably be considered canon (I like the dub, though) instead of "I am a man!" "He says "Does this mean..." and instead of "I did not want to die this way!" He says "I can't stand it." Just pointing it out to you.

  • @Rezindez I know, I was just referring to the dub since that's the version I'm used to.

  • @HeatLegs Okay.

  • @HeatLegs ....Have my babies, please.

  • @ElegeantFencer LOL WTF!! RANDOM!

  • @HeatLegs nice

  • @HeatLegs amen

  • One last time, on his final breath Nicolas D. Wolfwood questions Him, and undoubtedly even questions himself. Wanting, craving for any sign of redemption. Fearfully and regertfully he asks, "Was everything in my life a mistake? Is it too late now to ask for your forgiveness?". Uncertain that he would ever recieve the answer he sought, as if almost in denial of ever being forgived for his actions, he only now knows that he had done wrong, and with that, cries for his life...

  • He finds it is useless to resist the consequence he brought upon himself. He knows this too well. What had he done? Why couldn't he have done the right thing so he could stay with them and not have to bear this terrible cost? He questions his heart, his morality, finding something, something to justify himself. But all of the painful memories race through his mind, as a reminder of all the people whose lives he had taken. He had mercilessly pulled the trigger...

  • just absolutely beautiful.

  • Kneeling, hanging on to the cross that carried all of his burden, all of his sins, he seeks an answer of forgiveness from the God whose will he ironically strayed from. Hanging on to his last breath, gradually being removed from his torturous life into Paradise, but moved with guilt and regret and fearful for all the friends and loved ones he would have to leave behind on the earth which his blood spoiled. He struggles to maintain posture, searching for his resolve to live..

  • someone give me some weed and lets see how far our minds wander when we listen to this beautiful piece...

  • Uhh, strange but interesting idea.

  • Man that makes me cry ç_ç

    Is wonderfull.

  • Is that Tsuneo Imahori doing the vocals? If it is him, he's got a unique and beautiful singing voice. God, I could feel so much sorrow and power in those "hallelujah's"..Amazing.

  • I believe this and the scene where Julia gets killed are the saddest ones I ever seen, I actually cried (lol) when I saw her dying....hell, good anime is worth to watch and repeat anytime over all the crap on the tv this days....

  • Who was Julia, I can't remember?

  • Cowboy Bebop

  • oh, I thought you were talking about Trigun and wondered why I can't remember any Julias in it.

  • lol, yeah I came back and saw the mistake, I forgot to mention it was Julia from CB.

  • The mysterious blonde girl

  • You're talking about Julia from Bebop?

  • Yup, lol, I was speaking about Julia from CB :)

  • I remember those scenes, AND another one from cowboy bebop: The one where ed decides to leave and ein follows her, then ed tells ein that he can not come with her, and you see the slighest expression of disillusionment in ein's face, like when you realize you will never see someone again. It took half a second of that image for me to burst into tears, it was awesome.

  • man out of all the anime I have seen this was one of the saddes songs and scene.
