@Moremover Yes you are completely correct chess programs at this point are far better than any human is or could be, but I hardly believe that that takes away from the feet that Magnus has accomplished.

The fact remains that when we compare Magnus to human competition his is probably the strongest Chess player around atm.

Nope. He would check the black king to e1 square (black king has to stay with the pawn to protect it from white queen). Each time the black king is on e1 square, the white moves its king towards the black pawn to finally take with the queen protected by the king... :)

No.. he played in the Tal memorial a couple days earlier and he had a throat infection/flu, something like that.

So he probably wore that scarf to keep warm so he doesn't more sick.
