I have had about 30 cats at my house because they have been treated bad.
:/
But we were recently threatned that we would be put in jail.. so we had to give most of them to a shelter..
I felt really bad, but i understood that my parents had to do it. When I get a little older and get a job, I'm willing to donate as much as I can. I'm only 13.
Y'all are such amazing people to take care of so many animals...
I Applaud all the foreigners working in Cyprus animal shelters. Without you who knows what the state of animal welfare would be like in this country. Thank you for your efforts. - Concerned CYPRIOT.

Christine started this many years ago and used every penny of her own money.Without her, there would be a severe problem in Cyprus and thus why she now has Government backing.
I lived there some years ago and helped to rescue animals sometimes up to 100 dogs a week. Without Christine, her team, and the public support;plus the charity shops, thousands of animals would have died in terrible pain, usually from starvation. If you can; please give to this shelter,it does a brilliant job.
Paphiakos doesn't just help stray cats, also dogs, donkeys, horses and goats. It does a fabulous job, but needs money to keep it going, relying totally on donations and fund raising as it is a charity. It re-homes as many strays as possible, and exports them all over the world to loving homes. You can attend one of its charity events, donate pet food, or volunteer your help. You can even send a donation directly to the charity via the website, please send money and improve the life of animals.
The animal welfare organisation in Nicosia is closing down next week. Around 70 dogs and 30 cats will be put down if homes are not found for them.... Please call Toula Poyiadzi on 00357-22-35 0530.

Also I forgot to mention that they love animals....especially in the fucking suvla with potatoes....Cyps and Cyprus....the fucking (epi)center of the world.
Com'on people...get ur act together. What makes u think that Cyps r not good with their animals...what because they shooting anything is moving/flying, or coz they let dogs for unfed for ages, or kill them/torche them, makes them not animal friedly?
Hi! The english men in Cyprus are doing a wonderful job!If it weren't for them there wouldn't be much hope for all the strays there.
I've lived in Cyprus and know all about the frustrating situation. We ended up with so many cats in the end because it was so hard leaving the strays behind.I hope i one day can go back and help them.
What kind of foolish comment is that? The health services in Cyrpus and the Britian are completely different, different ways of life, different economy, different climates- comparing them isn't exactly clever. Also its the same generation here as it is over there that is making people scared to walk the streets at night, its not just Britian.
@SeeDoubleYouUK try australia you wont walk the streets at night . i live in australia . catch a train here no way. you will get your head bashed in . yet in other countries i feel very safe , walking the streets, and catching public transport.
My sister recently went to Cyprus on Holiday and she noticed there were so many Cats around the Hotel, the staff kept shooing them away.
All the time she was there she bought Cat food and fed them,She said it was funny as the Cats would bring more and more friends along with them each time.
@SeeDoubleYouUK are you kiding,,, you shuld not generalize this way... yes there is a percentage of aneducated bastards who behave in that way but it is unfair to judge all Cypriots by that!

My aunt works there.
I know Christine, she`s a dear person and do a great work. And Maria, she does a lot for the animals too.
A year ago, I`ve found a dog and a horse and brought them there, the dog got new owners now and he`s very happy!
If you have the possibility, please give this animals a chance to live!

In cyprus they prefer to take care of people.
Check your british national health service and get your priorities right.
And as a human, I prefer the cyprus option where i dont feel threatened walking at night.

why the cypriots hate cats and dogs ??
Agnetas15 4 years ago
They don't hate them, they just treat them as a tame wild animal, they just aren't animal lovers like most
