Why so much hate for David Stern? He is really at terrific commissioner, and did a lot for the NBA and the sport of basketball around the world. The only things I don't like of him are the Seattle Sonics situation and the Kings-Lakers 2002 series (which was more the referees' fault really).
the referees have been terrible for as long as david stern is in office. he grew up watching the ABA which was all about flash. The referees are told to officiate a certain way, and david stern is the man who could do something about it. they make terrible calls, and the refs officiate based on a system, not based on what is and isnt a foul. I HATE DAVID STERN. and the only reason he tries to globalize the NBA is for his own selfish needs and greed.
