I think in many ways they were... the sentiment in the third book really shows that, and I think the third film really demonstrates this! The later films do no justice to Lupin's character by cutting out his scenes! The thing that really gets me about them is that they are all about Harry, and occassionally Ron and Hermione, the other significant characters don't seem to feature very highly in the later films! Thats why the third film is the best in my oppinion! It does Lupin the most justice!
I haven't actually seen it and he'll prolly kill me if he reads this but my old mate played harry potter's dad in order of the phoenix. He was always the shiner in drama lol, i wanted to be Oliver Twist in that school play Robbie!!
