I think the HUGE speakers helped a lot, i was right at the back but the music still sounded stunning even recorded on a phone, some things are just unstopable, and the sound of those guys and the music was just fantastic.

A camera phone is better than nothing, especially if you couldn't make the event. Funny, the sound quality sounds "compressed", all the more appropriate considering who the evening was a tribute to.
