The penalty spot looked like a bomb had dropped on it, watch the video, the penalty takers are all trying to stamp it back into shape, well it's the bit to the left of the penalty spot, and when a right-footed player takes a penalty, he will plant his left foot right next to the ball, Beckham's leg buckled when he planted it in the hole
