  • Up The Pinks! I'm told I saw them many times ,but I'm not sure.LOL!

I hope Larry doesn,t mind ;but IMHO Paul Rudolph is the most un-acknowledged Gun-slinging guitar player ever!

  • This is just way too cool! Thanx for the post. Keep it coming dude!

  • Up the Pinks!! One of, if not the most underrated band ever!! We are long overdue for another reunion!!

  • i was there!

  • @butlincat me too...never knew how we got home though...any ideas?

  • Ah yes,the days before sciatica and poor ticket sales!

is there some footage from the Roundhouse that Kerranng mentioned in their 1983 look back at the 'fairies. The vid is OK y'know.

  • Amazing archive footage;Camden used to be full of good shit ;Now its just SHIT!

  • Absolutely appalling. Thank god for p**k r*ck.

I was there as well. Did Twink take his clothes off. I seem to recall something of that sort happening.

Later on I stuck my head in the bass bin while Hawkwind were playing and was deaf for a week.

Lady June had Lol Coxhill in her band and brought on as special guest that star of Groupie (and later The Police) Andy Summers. No wonder we booed her off.

  • Pink Fairies Fly!

  • I remember that gig.. think Lady Jane was the first time I had seen a band booed off at the Roundhouse...they went off , came back and did a good(ish) version of SilverMachine. All anyone wanted really was the Pink Fairies (and anything else that was very small and pink) then Hawkwind

  • Amazing. I was a big Rudolph fan and remember him offering "flying saucer trips" from the stage for a quid. He was a bit out of it by then, but still the best Fairies guitarist/singer. He now lives in his native Canada selling bicycles. Up the Pinks...

  • Hi Bod - I was at the gig with garrybod and we had a quick chat with Rudolph after the set - he seemed to like my home-made Fairies t-shirt - I've even still got the ticket stub - £1.50 for the full gig with Hawkwind, Arthur Browns Kingdom Come, Lady June;s Linguistic Leprocy, Gordon Giltrap and others. Great to see it again - Garry - send me copies of the photos please ... and.... Up The Pinks

  • Great post...any Deviants clip?

  • I was at this gig ! The fairies were a great band live ,its great to see that they are still remembered.

  • I have really been into the Pink Fairies lately.

I live in the US and no one knows who they are or were it seems. Would like to see more!

Hawkwind and Fairies are almost unheard of here and two of my favorite bands. Considered comin over to see a gig on more than one occasion.

  • Great clip, arsydd!
