  • It don,t get better than that ! Brilliant

  • 40 people are deaf. I don't know how anyone could dislike this. Simon & Garfunkel are amazing!

  • I cry with this :´)

  • it reminds me when i was 9 .... My father's favourite song .... Still so beautiful ! And i need so much these lyrics today ...

    From France

  • absolutely epic!!! Need I say more.

  • really you guys are amazing!

  • Amazing, love these guys!

  • exquisite!

  • Paul is singing this like an American Idol contestant, with his hands and all. Disappointing.

  • @iquit4gud: Paul in the past was quoted as saying his biggest mistake or something like that was letting Art sing Bridge Over Troubled Water. I love these guys but Paul does sound like a jerk...and seems so over time. Can anyone imagine this tune without Art's voice? That's where the power was, sorry Paul.

  • Love this version. Let's also applaud the pianist, who does an amazing job.

  • @tcb19921234 wheres the autotune?

  • auto-tune ruins it for me. big time, id rather him miss the note than hear a fake one

  • @tcb19931234 The fact is, there is no auto-tune.

  • @HelliarCOH the high bit at the end just doesnt sound natural. it seems to come out easier than the videos from back in the 70s, it has a robotic tone to it

  • @HelliarCOH i hope im wrong

  • I love them so much, and I'm only 11! But they are so good! My dad love them, and he played this song for me, and I started cry! They are just so amazing!! And I have never heard Simon sing in this song..:)

  • Brings me to tears, everytime. I grew up with these guys. Went to same college as Paul. Just saw him again in concert. It was no comparison to when they are together. It is simply magic.

  • que bien que canta garfunkel!!! tantos años y sigue teniendo la misma voz!

  • I think Paul knew, comfortable with this song more than anybody else, because he wrote it, and knew the meaning of the song. That's why he's moving his hands around. Great masterpiece!!

  • I thought they were both surprisingly well voiced. Sure, Art knows his stuff, but Paul brings it as well.

  • love this song reminds me when i was homeless such a careing song makes me cry every time wish ppl understand what its like to be homeless great song and greatppl sang it allways love these ppl

  • the auto tune is for the other old artists who sang in the show. maybe just an insurance that no one misses a note. But maybe i'm wrong since Stevie missed some.

  • This put me tears in my eyes. I can't believe they are still singing and together.

  • Brought back old memories and tears to my eyes; used to listen to the original album for hours. They sound better THAN EVER; what an amazing performance.

  • Legends. Period.

  • Does anybody knows the name of the genius playing the piano?

Alguien sabe el nombre del genial pianista que acompaña a Simon y Garfunkel?

  • super cool tune spiret lifting stuff

  • stylish ass dudes

  • stylish ass dudes

  • wow thats was amazing they seem to sound better now then ever and as old as they are they can still pack madison square garden

  • I can't physically see the dislike bar... Which is a good thing

  • made me feel better

  • Legendary music.

  • Art Garfunkel easily had/still has the best, and most relaxing voice in the world

  • i have been hearing that song for years and at this time sound always better than the last time

they are the best unless you do not know what the great music is all about you will not be agree or you were borne in a different era , but the feeling the conveying of feeling are unique

    and you are unique

as a person as a human been

enjoy the music this great music with message that make you feel even alive

  • autotuned to fuck!

  • I'm convinced that someone actually missed the like button, and didn't know you could change it. I'm totally convinced. That was absolutely tear jerking impressive.

  • who in the hell dislikes Paul Simon and Art Garfunkel?!? Are you kidding me? What has this world come to..kids, please, stay off the shrooms man.

  • Growing up with these voices was a joy. Hearing them at this Concert was a gift to all. I feel lucky to have grown up with the music I did and feel sorry for the generations that came after.

  • From here on out, 1,000,000 points are deducted from anyone who mentions Justin Bieber and/or Lady Gaga on any video created prior to 2010. Agreed?

  • One of the greatest pieces ever written and performed...period!

  • music is healing and this song is exactly that. art's voice is incomparable. it's as beautiful as when he first recorded this song. what a gift to humanity!

  • this is awesome!

  • This never gets old. Please, I beg go on tour. :)

  • Brilliant performance of one of the greatest songs ever written...you can see from this how the song takes on a new poignancy with the 9/11 attacks on New York still very much fresh in the mind.

  • TIMELESS SONG... BRAVO!!!

  • More the awesome.

  • You've got to admire the way Paul Simon steps back at the end to let Art shine just one more time... Not only a great musician, but also a great man!

  • @sisyfosgr That was a class act...for sure.

  • Art Garfunkel is amazing, Yes - But do not forget about who wrote this song - yes, that would be Paul Simon. Actually, Paul composed or co-wrote most of the Simon & Garfunkel tunes that we all love and cherish today. There is no Garfunkel without Simon - and there is no Simon without Garfunkel - It is God who brought "Simon & Garfunkel" together as one brilliant duo who complement each other better than any other musical duo on this planet!

  • I'm 17, and I love this more than justin bieber, or any other overrated pop musician out nowadays. This is real music!

  • Bieber aint got nothin on this!

  • Art Garfunkel ... in best Form !!!

    Paul

  • Grande canção, grandes interpretes. Tem coisas que se tornam melhores com o tempo. Senti uma emoção tremenda ao ouvir esses caras cantando de novo;

  • Great song

  • 3:23

    Love this part

  • im 14 and know my music, these guys are legends even in my eyes. I wasnt around when they were first releasing albums but at least I understand and appreciate what they did for rock/folk music over the years. God bless these two.

  • I remember listening to this on the old Sunday night top twenty on the 'wireless' all those years ago - now I am coming to retirement and it still it pulls at my memories - shhh - is that the time already? Love it forever!

  • There are 38 dislikes to this song or version to this song??????????? I do not get it, please explain it to me. Paul lays it on a bit thick but just listen to Art, oh my GOD!!!

  • I thank God for finding this

  • Isn't is just like Art to sing his heart out, and during the applause (that he absolutely deserves) to go extend his hand to Paul and have him share in it, when it was so obviously intended for him. Just makes you love him even more . . . one of the greatest singers ever and yet so humble.

  • @tmetzgarstock Oh, how gracious to extend a hand to the man who wrote the fucking songs that made your career possible! You are a fucking idiot.

  • why does this only have 1,316,676 vies????

  • @augoinham Apparently it gets at least 5000 views per day, well thats good!

  • GOOD OLD FRIENDS

  • what i meant to say is these guys ARE amazing live...worked behind and with...just to clarify they do NOT use harmonizers nor auto tune.....much respect to both and the many...many musicians.....

  • you got it mark2... gar but made things also..............and far as auto tune (others) sorry you forgot what real is! tell it to your i-padmyself away from the real...make sure you teach that stuff the next gen....of course there is vocal help in an arena that size...25+years in the REAL music industry beautiful is........

  • Art has the best voice, everyone knows that, but in my opinion the perfection of this song is the combination of them both. Not Paul, not Art, Simon & Garfunkel all the way.

  • oh.....sorry...i just came.

  • without simon art wud be no one am sorry

  • @mark26099 Actually, that counts the other way around too.

  • OMG.......Wie konnten diese ... Kerle .... einfach so "mir nichts, dir nichts" ein solches Lied zaubern....?????

Wie eine Brücke, über schwieriges Wasser......genial, genial....

  • Is Paul "blown away" at the end of the song? Look again at his face . . . bet he's thinking, "Art, you bastard, after all these years you can still blow this song out of the park, and I have to revert to hand gestures and theatrics so people are distracted from my singing." It's okay, Paul, I'd be jealous, too, if I had to stand next to Mr. Perfection and sing with him. We understand.

  • @MrsRobinson4646 Paul is the better songwriter though

  • absolut fantastic

  • Great

  • Those who say it isn't autotune have no clue how it works, this performance IS autotuned and that is a fact. It does not in any way detract from the genius and the talent of these two amazing artists, but this performance is HEAVILY pitch-corrected. It's just how it is :)

  • Good music still lives on in the form of Art Garfunkel and Paul Simon

  • That pianist is a BOSS, barely looking at the piano half the time lol.

  • When it comes to reunions, pink floyd live 8 tops them aII

  • linda e lindaaa a musica!

  • 68

    and still performing wonderful concerts

    MUSIC NEVER DIES!!!!!

  • Freakin Incredible!!

  • dude the flower shirt guy sounds INCREDIBLE!!

  • @TheSteelGorilla that 'flower shirt guy' is one of the biggest legends alive!

  • @ikikikke He's absolutely amazing! But I'd rather call the "flower shirt guy" by his real name, Art Garfunkel. We love you, Paul and Art!

  • @ikikikke i knew someone would get mad at me hahaha

  • Sorry guys i hate to disappoint you...

But, they don't use autotune. Autotune use them..

  • They clearly do, but good Chuck Norris-esque reference.

  • Comment removed

  • From Central Park in 1981 to Madison Square Garden in 2009, and at the age of 68 Art Garfunkel STILL gives an outstanding performance. What a performer. No one compares to this man. Not even Paul Simon.

  • @MrsRobinson4646 I'd say mick jagger might compare.

  • @MrsRobinson4646 Yeah, but Paul wrote it.

  • @33Thadeus That's true, but how many great songs have been written, just to be messed up by mediocre singers? Without Art, this song may have been destined for nothingness.

  • @MrsRobinson4646

I agree, but if it wasn't for Paul Simon none of this music would be written ;) haha gotta give him some credit!

  • Love S&G just HATE the fact that they used Auto Tune on this. No i'm not lying, they actually did.

  • @SweDante Evidence? Sources? I can't hear it.

  • @SweDante I thought they did too until I listened to an audience recorded version. Nope, he's that good.

  • @SweDante I'd suggest putting down the pipe and laying off the sauce a bit.

  • Along with the Beatles, I wish S & G could have stayed together longer and kept producing such magic.

  • Stunning. In the best partnerships the whole is greater than the sum of the parts. And these two are fabulous solo! Together they are magical. What a treat. Thanks guys.

  • Never before heard Paul sing a part of 'Bridge'. It was always the part of Art. He (Simon) does a wonderful job tough!

    Great, thanks for sharing.

  • Their voices are so good together. There are no words for it.

  • Paul's voice doesn't match to this song.

The only person can sing this beautiful piece is Art Garfunkel!

  • @MistrzAlbert Art has a truly miraculous voice he is underrated.

  • @MistrzAlbert Yeah but Paul wrote it!

  • the Bridge Over Troubled Water album in my humble opinion is the best musical album in history

  • The Pianist looks vaguely like a teacher I used to have.

  • i love this great song¡¡¡

  • Awesome.

  • Not quite "Central Park" but Art is wonderful and just to be able to look at Paul Simon, oh God! Always been in love with him and don't see that ever changing.

  • holy cow - epic

  • HEY ART!!!! Teach me to sing!!!!

  • Absolutely awesome, amazing duo, love chas and Dave

  • Damn. Thank you bro for posting this. WOW !

  • i found myself smiling without realizing it at the ending of the video

  • Paul's voice has held up better, no doubt. But then again, Art had a lot farther to fall voice-wise (and they both still kick ass).

  • At 4:40 do you see his partner in utter admiration as the roof is blown off the building?

  • sublime

  • 疲れると聞きに来てしまいます。

  • I felt three different auras of holiness from two singers and the piano player during the song....

  • auto-tuned or not, these guys are incredible and sound so awesome after so many years! Wow

  • Lets hear it for the piano player. He really fits the tempo to the singing

  • Seriously speaking, i wish i can still sing like both you guys when i reach your ages.

  • they are the men, with music runnin through they body, thank god for simon.

  • simon and garfunkel please go on and stay as perfect as you are

  • This is so beautiful.

  • my love musik was born

  • scary I remember when this song came out....im old! lol

  • Would be so cool if they went on the X factor. Suddenly everyone would realise how crap it is in comparison - music isn't about clothing and appearances. It is about the words and music - which these two never fail to show. Although Art does look rather dashing in his flowery shirt...

  • Damn - Art's voice is still amazing! These guys are giants...

  • nothing like the 1970's good old classics

  • @allang1968 *1960's

  • lady gaga > take notes

  • i had a sister who said this sucked. HAD. i disowned her. they have the purest voices i know.

  • insane---paul can do wtf he wants to do

  • amazing

  • Brings a tear to my eye every single time. These two are absolute magic together. Music's greatest duo

  • to anyone who actually 100% BELIEVES this is "Auto-Tuned", you ought to just die in place right now. You moron.

  • @SolSkill Im afraid to say that it is Auto-tuned, a good friend of mine was working behind the scenes of this whole show and everything was auto-tuned and edited before the final recording, they even missed out some of the songs too! Of course, if you were there, you would have heard how they really sounded and my friend said they sounded amazing anyway and auto-tuning wasn't even needed :-)

  • Paul fucked it up.....sounds like he was tryin to audition for American Idol.....stick to the original Douchebag it gets no better than that.

  • @insaneone5150 yeah that actually got me angry.

  • @insaneone5150 insane much?

  • These guys got soul!

  • EMOCIONANTE, EMOCIONANTE, A GLORIA DE DOIS ARTISTAS IMORTAIS. E DE ARREPIAR...........

  • I would had love to be have been there. I have always loved their music - their sound.

  • Paul Simon's facial expression at 4:42 sums up my reaction to this song and live performance.

  • @painnotpleasure That moment of glorious pleasure and relief of knowing you belted the fuck out of one of your classics...not many people get to experience that feeling.

  • Aleksander- Paul never was a great singer, listen to the original versions even.. He wrote, Art could croon..it's why they were such a great team..and still are! Like Elton John and Bernie Taupin. Bernie can't sing is way out of the shower. Most writers can't sing so hot.listen to Burt Bacharach (sp?)

  • Art always did own this song.

  • Tears were in my eyes from hearing this, but he didn't come to dry them all :(

  • it's even better now then back then!

  • You can tell that Paul knows he's lost his ability and is shocked when Art fully belts out that last section.

  • @MisterAleksandr i have to say he blows away the second verse pretty good though! :D

  • I grew up on these songs, now I'm 43 years old and still enjoyed listening to you. Small country, beautiful Israel, I give my children Your wonderful songs, the soothing voice of your A combination of music sound that give an air of calm, tranquility. Great talent - I wish you, God will show you all that Turn will give you power health and longevity

     ה' יברך אתכם וישמרכם

  • Do you see Simon at the end just blown away in utter admiration at his partner's "blowing the roof of MSG"?

  • my idols, project soul!

  • Только сейчас увидел этот концерт.....аж в дрожь!!!!! Ностальгия в Будущее!!!!

  • Even if it's maybe a bit auto-tuned, they deserve to use it at the age of 70. They prooved that they've got talent long before auto tuning existed. Art was able to hit the notes. Who can do that today? God, I wish I could sing like them! Simon & Garfunkel are amazing!

  • im probably like 500,000 of that 1,183,552 views -_-. lmaoo [x <3

  • @KIMMYsaysILY theres other videos on youtube, you know that right?

  • they are the besttttttttttttttt

  • Si señoras y señores,de pie para aplaudir el inigualabe talento desplegado en esta espectacular versión de una inmortal canción.-

  • That Did Answer a Question.Seems Paul Does resent Art Singing Paul's Magnum Opus.

  • @SmokeBojangles Why would Paul resent Art singing a song he wrote for Art to sing?

  • what a wonderful voice....the best

  • incredible voice..................just great!

  • 3:47 = Goosebumps .... :)
