Really nice to hear Jeff play some blues with this guitar without effects in a very creative and interesting solo. I never knew he could play the blues like this.
When he plays blues with the strat, he really goes too far out there IMO (too many sound effects, not enough playing) .
@ocean4315 I have to disagree with you on the sound effects comment. Jeff only uses a wah, a leslie cab type effect and RARELY EVER will he use his ring mod. I don't mean to put ya down a bit, but many of the great blues players you hear would disagree with you. Jeff is all about playing and when he's on as Clapton says "Nobody can beat him." He's an amazing player in every genre the man touches.
@AxisofJustice21 I think what ocean4315 meant was that he uses every piece of the guitar to create wild sound 'effects' and I can see where he's coming from. But- that's Beck and he plays what he wants. I love him dearly.
that's from Red White and Blues (Martin Scorses) In this film there is also an awsome song called Rambler's Blues performed by Van Morrison.......Does anybody know where I can find this song? It's not on the Red White and Blues sondtrack.....thx
Jeff Beck is my favorite guitarist and a huge inspiration to my guitar playing and watching a video like this just makes me laugh, he is soo fucking good, its rediculous
Great stuff Jem!! Beck has always been one of my favorites. I almost sang with him. I was the original singer in Cactus...when he was due to come over across the Pond and join the band in late '69 when he was in that car accident.
awesome is what it would have sounded like. aside from being virtuosos, both are sensitive musicians with amazing taste and great respect for one another.
I dont wish Jeff beck played like this more often, it's a fine blues number but then so many can do that but Jeff Beck at his craft well know one can touch him, there is only one Jeff Beck.
You're not listening very close to his playing. This ain't 'dime a dozen' blooz playin'. Can't you hear that he is playing with the same passion and imagination that he does when he's got a Strat and a Marshall stack? Even at low volumes, Jeff is a HOT player!!!
If only jimi hendrix was still with us. +++ RIP, it would have been unbelievable to hear what he should have become today or any of his work with the artists of today like what santana did on super natural.
feelin it
