  • Just loved The Professionals, Bodie and Doyle

Glad we can still see it on Television now.

  • @hazern100 i have the full dvd set, it's dated well and I love it. thanks for having a look.

  • Two effects in one. So very very cool, and a really outstanding vid!!

  • @cloudless93 thanks mate, it was a lot of work and I got sort of stubborn about it.

  • Awesome - so many Pros vids I've looked at don't really go with the music but this is perfect! Thank you!

  • @HoneyGildrye You are welcome, and interesting you say that. I make a conscious effort of timing my vids to music (in most cases) so I'm glad you noticed. This one was more to try and get a good picture of the lads, cleaned up, in other words. Wasn't easy. Thanks for the comment.

  • @jaicen5 I had noticed your other vids are well timed to the music but this one is just that extra bit fab! What I should have said as well is that as there is a finite amount of Pros footage it takes something special to make a vid that really stands out and this one certainly does :)

  • @HoneyGildrye thank you very much. This was an enormously time consuming vid to make, as each individual screen shot was altered and enhanced. I tried to match the beat of the song and sometimes didn't have enough useable shots in a sequence, and all the original footage was very poor quality. It was something different to the normal vid out there, we often miss great scenes or expressions because they are in motion. ta, again

  • The more I watch it, the more I like it; bravo!

  • @franciskerst thank you very much. I'm glad you do, it was worth the effort if people like it.

  • Really enjoyed this, love the song & love the boys, what more could I ask for? Another clever & artistic interpretation of their "hot" relationship. WOW!

  • @matchboxpetty thank you very much. I liked the deep beat of the song.

  • @cloudless9193 thank you very much. Yes it was much harder than the one I did with your images, but then your images didn't need any sort of altering, they were perfect as they were. Thanks for taking a look, I'm sort of thinking of another sort of experiment...... *g*.

  • Oh this is wonderful!! Thanks for putting in the hard yards. The end result is just smashing!

  • @zzebeddy thanks so much for letting me know. I did have cause to doubt myself for a while, so I'm glad that you've taken the time to leave a comment.

  • Jaicen this vid is absolutely outstanding and so inspirational. I dont know how on earth you did this. I am blown away by the colour image with the black and white background. Amazing. And l also love Bodie in front of the phone box, Doyle on the roof but also Doyle in the car when he is rubbing his lip. Well worth all the hair tearing and wall climbing. Its sensational and straight into my favorites box so l can watch it again and again. You are a true genius of the vidding world. XX CV

  • @CazVictoria Thanks Caz, there were many that doubted, including myself, but I stubbornly wanted to see the end product. I liked the very nearly 3 D effect of the colour and black and white, but getting quality images was a toughie. I'm glad you like it.

  • Time consuming and frustrating maybe, but for us lucky viewers AWESOME result. Oh my goodness. Thank you so very very very much for this, yet another, gem from you.

  • @finnhere2 thanks finn, I'm thinking of what to try next *g*.

  • Youtube hates me :(

5th time of trying to voice my appreciation of this vid. So pleased you stuck with it past the frustration. It amazes me how you manage to come up with something fresh and new every time - especially given the limited amount of material. Here here to all the comments already posted. :)

  • @maggiepieuk thanks maggie, that's kind of you, although I suspect one day, I may run out of ideas. I didn't know youtube was playing up, hate it when that happens, but thanks for persevering.

  • Very, very impressive and I especially like the colourised B & D up against a b & w background. The song also has a bit of a '70s feel which suits The Professionals. :)

  • @Banner1979 thank you, it was a very difficult vid to do, mainly for consistency. I'm glad you like it.

  • WOW this is really stunning. And I know how much work you had. I agree with sweeps... this is the best Pros Vid ever.

    Thanks xx

  • @bodiecuddle thanks mate, yes it was a lot of work, I must have been mad.... but then you know the work that goes into vids as you do them yourself. *g*.

  • Jaicen5, I have no idea how you did this but it is amazing. I know how hard it is to make a pros vid but this must have really driven you up the wall doing this vid. Quite possibly the best pros video I have ever seen :)

  • @CI5AgentSweeps *speaking from the top of the wall here*... yes it did drive me there. Basically its just a series of screengrabs, each one manipulated in colour. the trick was to do each manip, light, colour, shade, enhancement, exactly the same.... but the appalling footage didn't cooperate. Even doing the same changes produced different skin colours so it was very hair tearing. I'm glad you like it tho, from the few that have, it was worth the effort. and I like to try new things.

  • I adore it, totally adore it, right from the first pic. I can see why it took you so long to put together, but I'm inordinately grateful you did! So many fantastic shots and such clever editing and colour work. You're a genius and my birthday is now officially perfect!!! xxx

  • @inlovewithboth awww, happy birthday mate, from Lew to you....

  • See, all the sweat, blood and tears were worth it, this is brilliant! I love the B/W backgrounds merging into full colour and then into B/W again - so much work and effort from you makes this a huge hit! As ci5 mates said I like the Bodie and the phone box and Doyle on the roof most of all. Bravo Petal, now have a sit down and put your feet up - you deserve it :)

  • @pmgms1962 Thank you, for being a sounding board as well. It's good to have mates that tolerate an artistic temperament. I liked the way the B&W backgrounds brought the 3D effect, but it did play around with the original tones of the footage. So much orange and yellow, whoever lost the original footage needs a good smack.

  • One word.........

    STUNNING!

Bloody well done, Jaicen:) Love it.

    Layla xx

  • @DaybreakAngel thanks Layla, not quite a vid, but it's still moving images in a different way. And tweaking them made the whole thing look different. It's easy to miss a great screenshot in moving images, but it's much harder to find a row of 9 or so great screenshots that work.

  • @jaicen5 Very true. A hell of a lot of time-consuming and intricately detailed work goes into creating a stop-motion vid. More than is given credit to. And I understand your frustrations completely.

I used to be exactly the same when using this technique - when I used to make vids myself.

It utterly consumes a vidder. All credit to you.

(Great talking to you again, Jaicen, after such a long time. Hope life's treating you well, mate. All my good wishes to you:) Layla xx

  • Where do I start with this amazingly creative vid...it's so unique and special that all your time and frustration (and I know there's been lots) has been well worth it. (easy for me to say I know *g*) There are so many favourite scenes you've worked your magic on that it's hard for me to choose but I'd have to say Doyle on the roof and Bodie infront of the phone box are my absolute favs. They fit in perfectly with the music and the strong beat. Phenomenal stills arrangement too! thanks! :)

  • @ci5mates and thanks for being my sounding post and putting up with said tantrums. It's unique alright, there will only be one of them done by me. the stills were the most fun part, enhancing colours to make them jump out.

  • This is BRILLIANT! What a talent you have! Yeah - the vid and music are perfect for each other.

    Love it.

  • @fanofMrC thank you very much. It was a bugger to do and I nearly gave up several times, but I can get a bit stubborn, and i always try to do something new if I can, with my vids.
