  • Bud and Lou also appear in a scene from their third and last MGM loan out movie comedy:"A&C In Hollywood"in the opening credits here.

  • Oliver Hardy appearing briefly in a scene from"The Hollywood Party Of 1934"is seen in the opening credits here.

  • Love this video.

    Thank you.

    George Vreeland Hill

  • "You MUST see...you WILL see...you ARE seeing..."

I remember very well watching this on TV in the early 1970s.

  • Thank you so much for posting these vids! ^◕‿◕^

  • 500 MILLION POUNDS FOR THE SLIPPERS, YEAH!:L. with 'we're off to see the wizard' next to it, i want these kind of musicals back:'(

  • The Phantom Of Hollywood 1974 turned me on to this

  • LB Mayer would have turned in his grave at the sale of all of these precious items. Oh my Gosh how COULD they have spat on their own history like this ? Can you imagine how much money they would have made now with these pieces of American Cultural history in museums? The tourism. THE SHOS he blatently called them.... Damn those people. All that work, decades of dedication, passion, perfectionism and talent sold off like this. Pople like me shouldn't watch this because it truely makes you so sad

  • @joannamichelle72 I agree with you but the Culver City real estate was vast and valuable Movies were being made on location not at the backlot of MGM The backlot sets were rotting and falling to pieces Downsizing was inevitable but it's a pity that more of it wasn't saved it would have been a wonderful tour The remaining Sony property seems very small compared to the way it once was

  • @joannamichelle72 i completely agree. it makes me so sad and angry. Did you know Lady Gaga has a pair of Ruby slippers? every pair belongs in a museum for everyone to see.

  • this really makes everyone sad-so see the sale of mgm props-and nobody came forth to save it-kirk ,you have a lot to answer for--pure greed of a las vegas gambling man-

  • @64downtown actually debbie reynolds bought a lot of it and she just sold everything she had

  • @breezyyy88 Leo DiCaprio bought the ruby red slippers and donated them the Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences.

  • Great docutainment, thanks for sharing. :)
