LB Mayer would have turned in his grave at the sale of all of these precious items. Oh my Gosh how COULD they have spat on their own history like this ? Can you imagine how much money they would have made now with these pieces of American Cultural history in museums? The tourism. THE SHOS he blatently called them.... Damn those people. All that work, decades of dedication, passion, perfectionism and talent sold off like this. Pople like me shouldn't watch this because it truely makes you so sad
@joannamichelle72 I agree with you but the Culver City real estate was vast and valuable Movies were being made on location not at the backlot of MGM The backlot sets were rotting and falling to pieces Downsizing was inevitable but it's a pity that more of it wasn't saved it would have been a wonderful tour The remaining Sony property seems very small compared to the way it once was
@joannamichelle72 i completely agree. it makes me so sad and angry. Did you know Lady Gaga has a pair of Ruby slippers? every pair belongs in a museum for everyone to see.
this really makes everyone sad-so see the sale of mgm props-and nobody came forth to save it-kirk ,you have a lot to answer for--pure greed of a las vegas gambling man-
Bud and Lou also appear in a scene from their third and last MGM loan out movie comedy:"A&C In Hollywood"in the opening credits here.
