i think that this game ot's the best, i benn play this game 6 years, a found it first time on 2002, playing ut goty, oh man really nice game, and them the other unreals,,but this one i liked a lot, nothing like ut goty, but it actually good too ut3, and this is better than Gears Of Wars
This game was good; but I felt like it was lacking in the environmental aspect. I mean there was barely any cover use; no kneeling behind objects killing people stealthily, the sniper rifle was way too hard to use with a joystick. I feel like the next game needs a bit more of the gears of war aspects with cover and such.
@TheBloodyBlackJackal well, this game encourages close combat, its an arena for bloodshed and carnage, not a regular fps. Camping in this game is the dumbest thing you can do, as there wont be long until you are ripped to shreds with a 50.cal shotgun. Thus, you don't hide for cover, you run like a madman over the fields.

completely agree, although battlefield is a fantastic series on its own, if it had its size, variety, balance and great visuals along with the fluidity of CoD, it would probably be the only fps that anyone would wanna buy, BF fanboys, don't hate, I've been playing BF since the real number 2 (Not Badcompany). Nobody plays this game anymore, the only reason this game existed was to show off it's engine and now its been sold to so many titles. It's served it's cause.

A year or two after checking out UT3 I come back to see what has happened. This? THIS, is suppose to pull me away from 2k4? No dice.
Oh how I wish the new installment will go back to the highly dynamic gameplay of 2k4. UT3 just bored the hell out of me when I tried it with its bulky movement system. And before you purists get up in my ass about how UT3 is going back to the roots of ut99, I don't care. I've been playing UT since the very beginning and IMHO it hit its stride with 2k3/2k4.
I never regret buying a game as much as this one. And barely any other game shows what a huge hit to overall quality, depth and complexity a series can take ones it goes consoles.
AFAIK still more people play UT2k4 and even the first UT than UT3, simply because these games have the depth to assure long time motivation.
@virtuafighterman Yeah and also a lot of people (the COD and Halo players) didn't know about UT till the 3rd one, so they kind of think the opposite, as in if the 3rd is really a 'new' game instead of knowing it's just continuing the same formula from the first 2 games, though more similar to the 1st one. @TheXsK burnout. That was made by criterion and puplished by EA later. The world of games is complex. From the Story mode... jeah the first COD games are like MOH, but in many things total different. As exsample the gameplay himself. On the first MOH you cant zoom with every weapon. Later MOH make this, because COD becomes famouse. :3 And no, i never say, every shooter copied it form doom. Than wolfenstein 3d was first. Btw, only because one game was first, it doesent mean they copied.

Btw... when you like CS, play COD Modern Warfare 1 or 2 or Blackops or whatever in the search and destroy mode. Its total the same with the CS "bomb" mode. You know, 2 Bombspots, 2 Teams and when you die, you are gone to the end of the round. :3 And time in the round. Trust my its fun. xD( my favourite mode I used to play CS much

I was huge fan of Unreal Tournament and Gears of War and - Epic - Im back to you from MW2/Black Ops when you make Gears of War 2 PC / Unreal 3 (the orginal one) or Unreal Tournament 4. I have collectors edition of Gears of War PC and Unreal Tournament 3. Also have UT2004 and UT orginal on disc installed. I am one - but not the only one who will buy and play your future games on PC.

So in that point, unreal copied from halo.. mostly even the design of the cars... as this one man "bike?".. What reminds on the ghost on halo. Its like gta and Driver. gta was first, but driver was first 3d... so whatever. ^^ i love both.. even halo steal a much from movie and games in story wise. xD

A year or two after checking out UT3 I come back to see what has happened. This? THIS, is suppose to pull me away from 2k4? No dice.
Oh how I wish the new installment will go back to the highly dynamic gameplay of 2k4. UT3 just bored the hell out of me when I tried it with its bulky movement system. And before you purists get up in my ass about how UT3 is going back to the roots of ut99, I don't care. I've been playing UT since the very beginning and IMHO it hit its stride with 2k3/2k4.

I never regret buying a game as much as this one. And barely any other game shows what a huge hit to overall quality, depth and complexity a series can take ones it goes consoles.
AFAIK still more people play UT2k4 and even the first UT than UT3, simply because these games have the depth to assure long time motivation.

@virtuafighterman Yeah and also a lot of people (the COD and Halo players) didn't know about UT till the 3rd one, so they kind of think the opposite, as in if the 3rd is really a 'new' game instead of knowing it's just continuing the same formula from the first 2 games, though more similar to the 1st one. Or maybe not, i can't say.
