Hi, why do my broccoli sprouts go sour if I wash them every day? I do it just in the morning each day and they go bad in a few days and become rotten. I spin them very thoroughly after every wash, yet this still happens. The humidity in my home is about 45-50%. I keep them in room temp of 70-72F.
Thank you very, very, very much for this! I usually do lentils and beans with the mason jar method (love it!) but alfalfa seeds go through the holes... Radish and broccoli seeds tend to clump into a large sprout sausage! You have convinced me to get one of these Easy Sprouters! Love your site too! Thank you for the vid!
Man you sure seem to be using/WASTING alot of h2o during your rinsing i dont think you need to rince that much...I mean 2 times daily...What 2 gallons wasted min each time...Think about it?
i'm from boston and now in november, water from kitchen faucet is already very cold. can i still use this cold icy water from the faucet to rinse the sprouts? Pls help.
my broccoli sprouts keep dying?, getting gross on day 3. I tried sink water, filtered water, and then distilled water. They keep getting gross at the end of day 3 no matter what. Maybe they are bad seed. What do you think?
does anyone know if sulforaphane is higher in powdered broccoli sprouts or fresh?
I read in an article fresh broc. sprouts contain a kind of inhibitor and according to this article powdered broc. sprouts are the best as far as sulforaphane levels go.
Hello, I bought one of the Easy Sprouters and may buy more. But in this video you said you soak Broccoli for 12 hours. In the insert that comes with the sprouter, is says to soak Broccoli for 6-8 hours and that oversoaking can cause fermentation. Have you had any problems with that? Just want to make sure b/f I begin. Thanks alot for uploading. Very helpful videos.
Listen I have been about to pull my hair out trying to spout broccoli. It's nothing at all like wheat. I thought I had bad/old seeds. Some would spout and some would not. Not to mention they spout very slow...those that did spout. This video has helped me so much. I have confidence to try again!! Thank you for uploading this.
I have been trying to grow brocolli for 5 years. They always rot. I didn't know about breaking them up. I got a fabulous crop for the first time. Thank you so very much.
Thank you for the excellent video. The information you provide in this video helps clear up the questions I had after receiving my Easy Sprout Sprouter. We are now enjoying the wonderful rewards of sprouting broccoli. Keep up the good work!
Thank you so much for putting up such a clear and easy video to understand. What are the advantages of sprouting the seeds yourself on buying them already sprouted?
Sprouting is a zen experience. Robots don't get zen - nor can they communicate love to the growing plants. This speaks to why machines do not produce sprouts of the same quality as a human who loves sprouting.
Excellent video--I like the use of the fast motion and the different stages of sprout growth--thanks again!!!

So, if I do my 12-hour math correctly, if you first soak the seeds Monday morning, then on Saturday night you should be harvesting?
