My problem is using a blur callout to mask password, how can I make it faollow the zoom. Do I have to make a new blur callout for each step in in the smartfocus to keep the password covered?
Yes, unfortunately, as you see in my own video, my blur callout fades as soon as my zoom point moves and making a new blur for every single frame is really too much work.
What I suggest is that you zoom in and out frequently, so that the blur stays in place until you can take it away. :-)
Btw, you're talking about SmartFocus - that's when Camtasia inserts zooms automatically, and it's rarely accurate or effective - I suggest you manually add Zoom-and-Pan frames for better precision.
Hi there! Unfortunately, many users of Camtasia encounter the problem with the green triangle. To fix it, simply go to Tools -> Options and click the Zoom tab from the menu that appears - uncheck the "Apply Zoom-n-Pan hints" and press OK! Hope that helps. :)
Unfortunately, I deleted the original Camtasia file, since I didn't need it anymore and this was just a practice - it's not like I'm going to edit it to make it better or something.
But I can assure you the file size is not big at all! As for the final WMV file to which I exported to, it was about 6 MG (I just checked) so it uploaded just fine to YouTube. Why do you ask?
Actually, while one would think SmartFocus, the automatic zoom thing, would be smart and actually do it right, that is not the case. For every zoom, I did it myself with the manual Zoom and Pan, which got me the perfect results I wanted. :D
Yes, Photoshop is obviously better, but quite expensive as well. You forget that this is a totally FREE drawing program, yet the best of its kind. Also, as I reminded constantly in the description, this tutorial isn't meant to learn from - it's way too easy for that! It's mean simply as a practice Camtasia video for me. :D
I think Dounut54 forgot to reply because at that time, the reply feature wasn't working for me, so I simply PMed the answer to Dounut myself - then you came along and gave the same answer, so I guess he/she just forgot about your answer! :D
Unfortunately, you CAN'T control Autozoom, which actually you're naming wrong, since it's called SmartFocus. As I said in an earlier comment reply, SmartFocus isn't at all reliable, being "automatic" and all. Therefore, I used the original Zoom and Pan, which is manual and where you have to do all the hard work yourself, but in the end get great results like mine! :D
hi dude, nice work. how did u make the effect that ur screen zoom the point and following ur mouse? the zoom in and zoom out effect? which program u used ?
I used Camtasia (duh! look at the title! :D) and the feature you're talking about that follows the mouse and does it automatically is the SmartFocus feature. It is very bad, and doesn't work at all the way you want it to - if it works at all, since you need to move your mouse quiet a bit for it to zoom. So I used the original manual Zoom and Pan feature, where you have to do the hard work yourself, but in the end, get perfect results such as these! :D
Wow I loved ur video description, and omg I'm really so glad to give someone an inspiration. Thnk you for taking ur time to watch my videos, spect more!!!
btw I really liked how you managed the zoom-n-pans that was very cool actually. 5/5 =)
Good vid, I got that.

1. Click the Callouts link in the Task List.
2. The Callouts Properties page appears. 3. Position the seek bar to the location on the 4. Timeline to insert the callout.
5. Click the Add Callout button.
6. From the Type dropdown list, select Blur Callout.
7. Size and position the callout.
8. Adjust the Blur slider to set the percentage to blur.
9. Click Finish.
Hope that helps!

oh because using other screen recording tools like fraps, even a few minutes of recording adds up to over 100mb.
