  • I knew Peach would win, go peach! xD

  • Why does there happen to always be some british loud woman in the background that you always want to shoot in the face?

  • didn't think people like you actually existed.

  • HugS is good...

your just to damn stupid to see it

  • i dont think it was a good peach player but a samus player who made an epic fail..

  • omg those girls wont shut the fuck up!

  • tell those dumbass chinks in the background to stfu

  • Why are they playing with items? Lame.

  • Based on the annoying voices in the backround....They were at E for All = Demo.

  • a guy named compton that uses peach lol.

  • I like how MaximusDread was explaining what wavedashing was to Hugs lol. And you clearly have no idea wtf you are talking about because you said L cancelling was the only useful glitch.

  • I'd just like to add in to this that L-canceling is not a glitch. It was also in the 64 game, and was put into melee on purpose as well. As far as wavedashing goes, whether you choose to use it or not is up to you. Personally i love highend competitive play, and wavedashing adds a whole other level to the game.

As far as brawl goes, there isn't exactly L-canceling, but some moves have nearly 0 landing lag and us "tournyfags" will most definitely use the knowledge of our characters win in brawl

  • anything that deprives the fun of the game was taken out. all that is left are the glitches. wave dashing was a glitch in melee as it wasnt meant to be taken advantage of. that is why you do not see it in brawl. i agree that its the user's choice whether to exploit any advantages whether they are glitches or not, but i think that using glitches comes with being someone everyone who plays for fun despises. its a trade-off both sides, the competitive players and the social players must accept.

  • up b has a LOT OF KNOCKBACK

  • elit3brawler : "you should stop wavedashing. its out in brawl."

hmmmm if you look closely at hugs at 2:00 you'll see him wave dashing.

    kthx.

  • he is

  • Wavedash/L-cancel is a lame attempt to make Smash compete with more sophisticated fighting games. Smash is suppose to be a game that's easy to learn, but hard to master. You should see the tourneyfags that attacked me over at TheShend's "Daigo vs. Justin" video.

  • What the hell are you talking about? Explain your views.

  • Smash bros. was meant to be a simple 4-player Nintendo slugfest with a whole lotta frantic stuff goin down at the same time. When Melee came out, the game had new features like dodging and charge smash attacks. A group of die-hard Smashfans exploited the game and found glitches that offer new unofficial fighting stragedies. After discovering this sense of "depth" they proceed to strip the game of its endless charm (items, frantic stages) to bring about this glitch fighting style they call "Pro".

  • this maximus dread guy...some retard right? he's probably gonna come back with some smart(gay) comeback but i don't really give a shit:)

  • Using the dodge feature, they could jump, quickly dodge diagonally forward, and hit the ground numerous times to move at a speed greater than a dash. They could also use the Guard button to minimize lag time between moves (the only useful glitch IMO.) But some characters (Fox/Falco) can use these numerous glitches to their advantages and make themselves the most effective fighters in the whole game. Thankfully, Brawl has return the gameplay to its roots, and the glitches have since been removed.

  • I'm agree with you man, Smash never tried to be a depth game like DOA or KOF, but a fun figthing game, but maybe you're being a little extremist, personally i think that both ways are fun to play (normal smash or "pro" smash)

  • They removed the option to change the direction of your air dodge. Because of this, if you try wavedashing you'll simply dodge upwards. No, he is not wavedashing, it is impossible. Retards.

  • but we already have wave dash in brawl. Didn't you guys know? two different methods have already been discovered. Boost dashing, and item-throw dashing.

  • peach's down a kinda got the downgrade

  • Thank you all for watching our vids! For those of you who know us, Deadly Alliance is geared up and ready to go for Brawl. We look forward to seeing you at our tournaments in NYC, and feel free to check out our site, which is in the process of growing as time goes on. Also, as for those women you hear in the back, if you were there, you would have been enjoying the eye candy too much to care about how loud they were ;-)

  • cant that fucking woman in the back shut up?

  • This is definitely the best footage of Brawl to come out of E 4 All. Good work.

  • Al fin veo un video de Brawl en el que alguien utiliza bien a Peach!

    Peach es la mejor!!!!1

  • I said that back in October that there might be a new type of run/retreat tech they added to replace wavedashing. What I think that is now is that HugS is tapping back back to result in that slide that resemables a wavedash but clealy, its not because he isnt jumping into it.Ladies in gentlemen,we have new tech.

  • Just fyi, the phrase is ladies and gentleman and if anything it would be gentlemen in ladies.. Also, just because you had some wild thought without basis back in October means nothing. Anyone can guess and it's nothing to be proud of. Finally, teching is term used to describe pressing the shield button at a certain frame (forgive me for not remembering the exact timing) after hitting the ground of a wall that allows you to recover much faster. HugS does NOT tech in this video.

  • That was a bit harsh. First of all, Tech is short for phrases like: Technical Maneuver (sp) and it also is the meaning of pressing the shield button so you don't faceplant yourself into the ground. Second of all ya didnt HAVE to make fun of his spelling mistake, that was a simple typo.

  • Wait i think i saw a wavedash at....2:00

    look at HugS

  • I looked at it. He dashes backwards and then shields. It existed in Melee to a much lesser degree, but it's not a wavedash. Still interesting and I think I'm going to like using it >_> Although in Melee, you couldn't shield as quickly so the effects were less. I preferred dashing to wavedashing anyways. I'm going to be happy.

  • is wavedashing the only advanced tech that was taken out?

  • Hugs has nothing now. ha.

All the wavedashers are going to opt for melee instead of brawl in the end.

  • nah Im sorry, you will still get pwned

  • haha you wish man

  • he has been played the game for 4 days... of course he is nothing... dont be rediculous.

And yes... HugS will still kick your ass and holding a grudge against wavedashers is equally rediculous.

  • bobby, you were a scrub at melee and will be a scrub in brawl

  • haha i can wavedash. I ain't no scrub. SHOOT. :P

and i'm not holding a grudge. What i'm saying basically, which i know didn't come off this way at first, is that i think that all the people who are awesome at this game like hugs for instance, are going to go back to melee after playing brawl for a while.

I'm concerned that it's not going to get played like melee did. I mean i still play melee regularly and its 7 years old.

  • you should stop wavedashing. its out in brawl.

  • haha it never ends on youtube boards. i said i can wave dash. however, that doesn't mean i use it.

  • yea but wut if he wants to keep playing melee?

  • Whoa people. Keep in mind that Hugs is a vet Samus player. Surely he saw the Whorenado coming and opted to DI upwards to avoid a multiple hit.

  • Wow, they've really slowed the game down... I wonder if they'll create something like wavedash and add it in.

  • nah wavedashing is out

  • her down smash was terrible

  • noob

  • 1:55-1:57 is a charged Dsmash since samus got put to sleep. Who said Dsmash was gone...?

  • He was saying it got nerfed.

  • At 1:08, Hugs did a Missile Cancel?

  • At 2:01 Hugs looks like he did a back wavedash. I know the technique is out though. Must be the new wavelanding Gimpy mentioned a while ago.

  • Yes Classic NES costume of Samus. It's cool how Samus has her Dark and Phazon Suit!

  • samus's upb got uberbuffed

  • Sure, but here f-B missiles are defenitely nerfed, at 1:05 Peach ate a nicely timed super missile in the face at 101% and barely suffered any knockback...

Missiles cancel is out, even f+b on landing seems harder to time, and her bomb jumping is a lot harder (hopefully as you mentionned her buffed Up+B will save the day)

  • What controllers were they using??

  • Is it just me, or does samus's f-smash seem....stronger..?

  • Yea it looks stronger. Like Gimpy said, her fair is definitely better too and it does act more like the 64 version which is one of the best fairs in that game IMO. 10% for a point blank hit and some knockup at 16% is incredible. From what I've seen I am really going to like Brawl.Samus.

  • lolz. in the beginning of Peach final smash, it looks like she kicked Samus in the face. lolz.

  • Nooo, there could've been a sudden death if Samus survived just 2 more seconds.

    Anyway nice match.

  • Next time you put someone to sleep, use FSmash. :)

  • Great match! Peach seems better than ever

  • Did you see that crusty ass Full charged Dsmash she used after her FS? That skeet got nerf'd HARD! She looks aight overall besides that though.

  • well this is a demo, so you really can't judge things like that untill its done.
