The first incident can't fully be blamed on him alone as the other 2 whales were involved in the killing. The point is I believe Tilikum may have suffered a traumatic time at Sealand with the deprivation of food and 2 other orcas who were hostile to him. Seaworld does not deprive the orcas of fish like Sealand of the pacific did to Tilikum. But i think Tilikum has carried his trauma with him over time and often acted out with Dawn as he did the other 2 victims.

They deprived him of fish and placed him in a tank with 2 other whales who often attacked and tried to kill him

Everyone seems to be using the name "Killer" whale as justification for why he did what he did. Orcas do not deliberately hunt humans. If they did there would be a lot more deaths in the wild. You guys are making orcas seem like killers when in fact they only kill their primary prey which is required in order to eat it right? And don't forget not all orcas hunt other mammals. those are transients. the whales in captivity are most if not all residents which hunt only fish.
