I was already an adult when this game came out, but this level actually gave me nightmares about being trapped in an underwater cave with a gigantic white shark between me and the surface so I couldn't get air. O_O This game is bloody terrifying! ^_^
I started playing it when i was 5 and the only missions i could do was the first one and the atlantis lost one. I once tried this boss and i was so scared i actually broke my ps2 LOL
This was one of the first games I ever finished. I didn't understand the concept of puzzles, so I tried to kill it by getting it to beach itself in the shallows. lol I was such a noob.
Never beat the shark because it scared the shit out of me. He fucking eats you!! I just spent my time doing flips and whatnot with Ecco and enjoying the graphics.
Since I was like 8 when I played this game the shark scared the heck outta me and I was like: AGH GET AWAY! xD making Echo swim like crazy. I didn't know how to kill it for ages. I even ended up beaching Echo trying to get away xD
I remember this game being incredibly difficult. Especially later on in the game...I got so annoyed and never managed to finish =.= Must give it another go now that i'm older/wiser ;)
@TheReturnofDogen THIS WHOLE DAMN GAME scared the shit outta me! The idea of playing as a dolphin seems so peaceful, and then DAAAAAMN! You're face to face with scary-ass sharks!
@chrissy122790 I came out of the Gamestop holding Ecco the Dolphin: Defender of the Future and Drakengard. Ecco the Dolphin scared me so much when it came to me battling sharks, and I couldn't bring myself to face the Great White boss. Drakengard was nothing but hacking and slashing, and you had a time limit of about an hour to do each mission. I couldn't even figure out how to get to Angelus! I kept Drakengard, but I retured Ecco. I wished I'd kept it though. Was the game worth it?
I need help with this game. I can only swim higher and lower by dashing. I can't swim higher or lower by just normal swimming. I have no idea of how to do a normal tailwalk either. Oh and can you also tell me how to roll down the sand? I'm talking about the ps2. If you can tell me what controls to press on that'll be great. You're very good at this game. 5/5!

no you have to get him stuck in the hole and get that stuff outta his mouth then hit him and kill him...if you watch the whole video we show how to kill him :)
@chrissy122790 during my playthroughs, I found it easier to charge in front of him. It has him chase you instantly, and then you just dash into the hole X3
Usually I found him swimming away from me once I started charging at him X3

lol i love this game too...you sing the shark song to it to make it follow you then you swim through the hole that doesnt have anything in it and he gets stuck then you get the thing outta its mouth...it shows you in this video the way we did it
