This is not demonic possession. This is simply a mentally ill person. Scripture does not describe demonic possession as occurring like this. I gather signs of demonic presence can include someone speaking in a language they don't know, abnormal physical strength and a violent aversion to the cross, holy water and religious images, feeling cold for no reason, convulsions/rigid body/writhing, unusual swearing in a strange voice, facial changes, vomiting strange objects (nails/glass) even over long distances across a room.

Great job on video, its a very intersting case. I have watched many videos over and over and still intrigued by it, not by what awful things this girl had to endure but intrigued by the fact that there really are things out there and just because we dont see doesnt mean that is does not exist.

The reason I get angry with religious people is they try to enforce their belief system on everyone else. It actually is a true story. I personally believe that religion played quite a significant role in her possession. It wasn't mental illness. It was genuine demonic possession. When I listened to part of the audio, it scared the crap out of me!
They based The Exorcism of Emily Rose off of Anneliese. I feel so bad for her, that they never caught her medical condition before it was too late and that religion and beliefs killed her in such a horrible way :(
My grampa had schizophrenia. here's voices in your head that tell you to kill yourself. It can be controlled with meds, though. Maybe the voices told the lady not to take the meds and she starved herself. :-|
Actually this is a true story. Look it up. The part I had never heard of was her eating insects. That could be fiction. The rest is true. She believed she was possessed. She was also diagnosed with schizophrenia. Toward the end she and her family decided an exorcism would be best, and subsequently she died a year later from starvation. The photos of her are real, likely a result of her anorexia and self-mutilation. Was she possessed or mentally ill? That's up to you to decide.
In this case I think they should have got more jail time. Starvation should never happen. Even at this date stomach tubes and nutritious IV's were available. It was very negligent of both the parents and the church to not have her taken care of medically. Whether it was possession or mental illness she should never had died in this fashion. To me this is murder and I hope it never happens again.
I'm agnostic, but this whole case is pretty creepy (creepier than this video showed). I wouldn't rule out religious "mumbo-jumbo" but I wouldn't assume that the only explanation is a religious one.
The only people who are probably wrong about what happened here are the ones who think they are right about what happened.

Everyone just remember this woman was diagnosed with epilepsy, depression AND many of her symptoms can now be linked to schizophrenia. And how do we know that those symptoms indicate possession and not, ya know, pretty much anything else? And what makes us here watching YouTube qualified to make that statement?

@endersgame55 My boss lives in the same apartment block as a Catholic Exorcist and has him to dinner sometimes. I gather signs of demonic presence can include someone speaking in a language they don't know, abnormal physical strength and a violent aversion to the cross, holy water and religious images, feeling cold for no reason, convulsions/rigid body/writhing, unusual swearing in a strange voice, facial changes, vomiting strange objects (nails/glass) even over long distances across a room.

The reason I get angry with religious people is they try to enforce their belief system on everyone else. This is the minority of them I'm talking about the ones who explicitly state "this is how it is" while its blatantly obvious what they're preaching is their own interpretation of a series of texts written thousands of years ago in a foreign language. If they cant respect my belief system why should I respect theirs?

The idea that God would do something that evil is ridiculous but if it were true how could you accept your place in heaven and leave millions of people to suffer for all eternity? It actually is a true story. I personally believe that religion played quite a significant role in her possession. It wasn't mental illness. It was genuine demonic possession. When I listened to part of the audio, it scared the crap out of me!

Actually this is a true story. Look it up. The part I had never heard of was her eating insects. That could be fiction. The rest is true. She believed she was possessed. She was also diagnosed with schizophrenia. Toward the end she and her family decided an exorcism would be best, and subsequently she died a year later from starvation. The photos of her are real, likely a result of her anorexia and self-mutilation. Was she possessed or mentally ill? That's up to you to decide.

In this case I think they should have got more jail time. Starvation should never happen. Even at this date stomach tubes and nutritious IV's were available. It was very negligent of both the parents and the church to not have her taken care of medically. Whether it was possession or mental illness she should never had died in this fashion. To me this is murder and I hope it never happens again.

I'm agnostic, but this whole case is pretty creepy (creepier than this video showed). I wouldn't rule out religious "mumbo-jumbo" but I wouldn't assume that the only explanation is a religious one.
The only people who are probably wrong about what happened here are the ones who think they are right about what happened.

ACTUALLY she died from starvation and dehydration because she was denied help. Everyone just remember this woman was diagnosed with epilepsy, depression AND many of her symptoms can now be linked to schizophrenia. She also watched the exorcist which could have showed her a way to vent her anger. However it went horribly wrong with her mental challenges were misinterpreted for some silly religious mumbo-jumbo. Case closed.
