N900 Vs N97 Vs Desire

And really, one of those phones is as from another world...

Keep in mind that the N900 is clocked on only 600mhz while the desire runs @ 1ghz! and its still nearly the same fast! now imagine how it would beat the crap out of desire overclocked to around 1ghz!

another thing is that the desire has better widgets and apparently a better screen too. and for what i've heard the htc has more and better apps and games, which is very important for a smartphone. what's that "PC functionality" that has the n900? what can it do that the desire cant?

@0r0a0u0l0 ; with a N900 you can make a video call shrink the screen and still hold your conversation and surf the net or re-customize the screen or download a app while still holding a video call conversation or just message someone. I know for a fact the desire can't do that. Also you can install media box and play a video on the N900 and minimize it and chat while still watching your video.

some comments in favor of my N97: it is very useful for professional reasons: 1) keyboard meke it easy to type messages and notes and the screen help me to let notebook at home and go to my meetings just using this smartphone. 2) compatibility with all messages, including Lotus Notes that I use in my company. 3) applications for symbian is not like iPhone, but is good. So, let me know it N900 and DESIRED are also easy to use for professional reasons. Hope to test them soon.

Nokia got a MASSIVE fail with N97 and then launched the N900. They should refund everybody that bought a N97. After being a Nokia user for more than 10 years, I gave up. Shame on you, Nokia!

I have the HTC Desire for over 2 weeks now, and i even tried the N900 few days ago, feels good but thatn again doesnt feel right after using the Desire..

P.S. what in................. is the n97 doing here being compared with this 2 phones.. its rpetty old and overprised,

@Puh74 That depends on style people choose..I had touch HD,and I was happy with him except windows still have many bugs..I believe you N97 is better in some ways..I didnt have n97 so i cannot make decisions but from specs of those phones and videos i watch i like N900 the most..Probably will get one in next 7 days..

N900 is just from another world Vs. any other pocketable device

N900 is the only mini PC equipped with OS that delivers truly PC functionality (linux) and this makes it different Vs other pocketable devices which are just phones

so comparing it with phones is pointless - if you want a phone N900 is not for you

if you want mini PC which you can constantly have in you pocket - nothing come close
