The Faceless is an excellent crossover band which can help DMetalheads get more into the deathcore scene. I however don't like deathcore, not the music, not the scene, nor the average people listening to it. Death metal bands with -core influences are usually good though.
BDM is true melodic death metal. It confuses me as to why they became so popular with fans of metalcore/deathcore even though they don't have breakdowns and gang shouts.

Job for a cowboy just made the mistake of releasing one deathcore album. Which sucked so much. Genesis was OK. Then Ruination was amazing. Jfac is DEFINITELY death metal.

They don't pig squeal, no DUN DUN DUN DUN riffing, no breakdowns, their music sounds evil, not angry, they are not associated with hardcore dancing or extreme moshing, and you can clearly hear that they are influenced by bands such as Bolt Thrower, At The Gates and Death. I like death metal alot, so this video peaked my interest. i just said the bands you listed for me to check out all suck in my opinion. im sure plenty of people would disagree with me, but i personally didn't like them. so there, go troll somewhere else

I have no fucking idea why people keeps on calling Black Dahlia Murder deathcore. They don't pig squeal, no DUN DUN DUN DUN riffing, no breakdowns, their music sounds evil, not angry, they are not associated with hardcore dancing or extreme moshing, and you can clearly hear that they are influenced by bands such as Bolt Thrower, At The Gates and Death. I just don't get it. Can't enyone be a little brave and explain WHY they are deathcore instead of saying "all deathcore sucks who cares" ?

@mawacaca1 Exactly, although shifting a lot in pitch is more of an early grindcore trend, btw another thing that bothers me is that while most deathcore bands make their songs almost entierly without structure, TDBM use verse-chorus-verse in most their stuff... And solos, and different types of rythmes, and novel riffs and... GAAAH! There's no deathcore in it AT ALL. Melodic Death Metal, or Death Metal, that's what it is!
