  • I LOVE that picture!! :D

  • Haha this is the music from the DVD menu. I always listen to it all the way through.

  • heard this when nine kisses rose in Parting of the Ways, so awesome!!

  • Whats this song called?

  • bad wolf bad wolf bad wolf bad wolf bad wolf bad wolf bad wolf bad wolf bad wolf bad wolf bad wolf bad wolf bad wolf bad wolf bad wolf bad wolf bad wolf bad wolf bad wolf bad wolf bad wolf bad wolf bad wolf bad wolf bad wolf bad wolf bad wolf bad wolf bad wolf bad wolf bad wolf bad wolf bad wolf bad wolf bad wolf bad wolf

  • OH MY GOSH MY CAPTCHA JUST WAS "CAL".

  • This was the best track of them all. The woman's voice was just so deliciously creepy.

  • When I was younger, this song scared me very much.

But now I think it's great!

  • lol I remember this is the song on the DVD menu. I would listen to the whole thing before selecting something.

  • This is my favourite version of the Doctor's Theme.

  • the 10th doctor finally started to grown on me in season 4...i still miss eccleston-doctor

  • Who else wants the Bad Wolf to return in Season 7?

  • Hell, people! does nobody remember the 9th Doctor? I thought he did a bloody good job of it! Best into ever, by the way.

"Nice to meet you Rose, RUN FOR YOUR LIFE."

  • @hisholyinquisition Indeed he did

  • @hisholyinquisition

I do! He's probably my favourite, but the tenth is a very close second.

    @videosearcherwhenbor

I would, but Moffat seems to have cut off all ties to the old series. I makes me very sad.

  • @Jzadek72 I'm not so sure - in Series 5 I would have agreed with you on all accounts, with companions being forgotten, new TARDIS, Doctor, Sonic, even new Daleks. But now, we've had the Doctor being reminded of previous companions in Let's Kill Hitler when they appeared as the hologram feature from Series 1 and 3, the Ood being reused in The Doctor's Wife which was nice, and the Doctor's acknowledgement of his love for Rose in the latest finale. Captain Jack even got another mention. [cont]

  • @MrMischiefter When did the Doctor mention Rose?

  • @ginnoveffect Just when he was in the TARDIS after getting Dorium's head, he's talking about the things he could have done before he 'died' (as he thought he was going to at this point), and he mentions 'I could have helped little Rose Tyler with her homework, I could go to all Jack's stag do's in one night'. Quite good references, actually.

  • @MrMischiefter Okay, i thought you meant by acknowledging his love for Rose that he mentioned her in a romantic fashion.

  • @ginnoveffect Well, I meant that mentioning her at all showed he was still attached to her, but I get your meaning.

  • @MrMischiefter Gotcha

  • @Jzadek72 [cont] It does feel like a completely different show at most times though, I'll agree. We need to see the Doctor with some previous companions and getting to know them again for it to really feel like it's the same show and the same person.

  • @Jzadek72 So true. However, just going by personal preferance of preformance alone, he was astonishing. Even though he was acting, it seemed as though he was acting a role within a role, and always hiding that first role. It was brilliant.

  • @hisholyinquisition i agree, even when i saw mr ecclelstien? in HEROES season 1 ; haveing invisibility,

still saw him as the doctor

  • @hisholyinquisition I loved the ending of "The Doctor Dances" ... God I miss 9 and 10 aswell...

  • @hisholyinquisition He was flipping AMAZING. I miss him so much!

  • @hisholyinquisition Yeah I agree. One season did NOT do the 9th Doctor justice. He was....FANTASTIC!

  • @pleasereason Glad to see there're some other 9th Doctor fans out there! Tennant, I bloody love yah, and Imma let ya finish, but the 9th Doctor was the best Doctor of all TIME! And in Dr. Who, that's sayin' something.

  • My favorite sound track on DW... so haunting.

  • makes me miss Christopher

  • I think with new DW, Chris, David and Matt have all done a fantastic job playing the doctor, they have all brought separate, but similarly brilliant qualities to the character.

  • @Loulabelle8888 I agree but David Tennant is still my favorite. Matt Smith is absolutely terrific I just wish he didnt have to follow David. Still makes me sad.

  • This version is on the DVDs selection menu screen. I always have to wait til it's finished before I hit play/eject because I love it so much <3

  • This reminds me of 10....this would not work at ALL for 11. I miss 10.

  • @pengu82 This music DEFINES Doctor Who for me...

  • MATT SMITH FOR PM!

  • @steeldragon1981 matt smith can be oblitreated by the daleks for all i care, not a good doctor

  • It means: Doctor whoooooooooooooooooooooo..........

  • Never good when this song is playing lol. Bad Wolf indeed

  • Bad Wolf.

OH CRAP IT'S EVEN WRITTEN IN THE YOUTUBE COMMENTS

  • @celestialtriceratops We all thought The Bad Wolf was gone. It will NEVER go away. EVER. :)

  • Aww I still remember Rose saying: "This is the story of how I died" :(

  • they have to put this into series 6 it's just amazing first time I heard this I had tears in my eyes it's freaking awsome D: but it just can't compare to the piano version with that one I just wasent the same again I was FREAKING CRYING....................

  • THIS SONG GIVES ME SHIVERS!!!

  • Ninth Doctor's Theme!

  • Comment removed

  • I am so crying right now.......D:

Every freaking time i listen to this ....

  • Is this....this is from the DVD, isn't it? :D

  • Where RTD's strengths were in his portrayal of romance, Moffat's strengths are in the story, and that Moffat himself wanted the show to take a more 'fairy tale' approach. This means less emotionally driven plot twists and more plot driven fantasy. Whether this is a good thing or not is down purely to taste, but really, neither is bad. Just different.

  • I do love David Tennant. I really do. Still, Matt Smith was my first Doctor; there's something about this that will always make him my favorite. You never forget your first Doctor ;)

  • @Paradoxica27 I agree with you there. Eccleston was my Doctor personally, the first one I ever watched. No one can replace your Doctor.

  • @d3media

i totally agree.. however because he only did one series i think people got more attached to David, which is annoying because Eccleston was alot better.

  • what's the name of this song called?

  • This always reminds me of the series 1 finale :')

  • i've finally found this song after a year of looking! my life is now complete

  • I love this Song >_<

  • David Tennant > EVERYTHING. He's a fantastic actor. He can play an awesome, charismatic hero (Doctor Who), or a maniacal killer (Harry Potter). This guy can do anything!

  • Jack looks like Arnold Schwarzenegger on this pic.

  • Strange how people comment on Tennant, yet this was Eccleston's "Swansong".

  • This song reminds me of rose and how much fun the doctor had with her and the other companions he has had. I wonder if he will tell amy about the other or even see them again and in this new sesion tomarow.

  • To me, this feels like the song of the Tardis. It's message spread out, leading up to the one time the Tardis merged with a human soul.

Bad Wolf. Rose Tyler and the Tardis, merged as one.

  • This song belongs to Nine and Nine only.

  • For me, this is more nine's theme. It sounds like it's full of hurt and anger, which he was was.

  • Did anyone else heard a Dalek die?

  • "all songs must end doctor"

  • the sound of this very nearly brings tears to my eyes....*sniff* okay, it does bring tears to my eyes. ten will always be my doctor...

  • I am such a nerd.

    But I love it. -w-

  • this ent the docotrs theme, this is the main menu for the serois of dr who 1, u fool

  • aww...love that! For me David is the best Doctor...:(

  • this theme gives me goosebumps

  • Long live Tom baker / 4th dr never forget the awesome scarf cheesy grin and ever present bag of jelly babies

  • if u dont like the vid dont bloody watch it dont giv at thumbs dont just for the sake of it

  • What beautiful haunting music

  • Also, 10, Rose, and Jack never had an adventure together (unless you count Journey's End)

  • Why does this video have a picture of David Tennant as the Doctor? This theme is Chris Ecclestons, not his. It was only ever played once during the entire show - when 9 kissed Rose to absorb the TARDIS energy after the Bad Wolf come out to play. It has nothing to do with David Tennant, other than being the base for his Series 4 Doctor theme.

  • this song is great, does it have a name? id really like to get it, the full version...(if there is one..)

  • TOM BAKER 4EVA

  • i get some shivers every time i hear it, makes me think at the first series (2005) and at Rose XD

  • this song makes me sad i love it

  • lol what is this song????

  • Is there a version of this without all the Tardis sound effects?

  • @EllenRebecca3 search "The Doctor's Theme"

  • @ZandreInglorian I meant an exact version of this one here (sorry to be imprecise), I know there are lots of Doctor's Themes out there on YouTube.

  • @EllenRebecca3

haha sorry. Which version are you looking for then?

  • @ZandreInglorian The exact same one we hear here, but without the Tardis sounds. I don't think it exists. :-(

  • Spoooooooooooooooooooookity!

  • Melanie Pappenheim has the most gorgeous voice

  • The Doctor with the best companions Rose and Captain Jack :D

  • i loved david tennant, and i really miss donna as a companion. the two of them together were the best. matt smith is oing okay, but there is no way he can compare to david. and no companion will ever top donna. what i really wish would happen is matt smith meet donna, because since he has a different body and personality he would have less chance of her recognizing him. it would add the depth to his character that has been missing so far.

  • This theme fills you up with so many emotions...

  • I love this one, the music from series 1 to 4 is epic, they could never do better, I miss David Tennant too, he was the best one

  • At first I was like why doesn't the Dr. use the power of the time vortex. Then I remembered, o right it kills you.

  • Awesome music...really cool with all th sounds..it adds to the mystery of it all!

  • I'm sure its from a DVD menu you can hear doors opening and dalek movement

  • David tennant will always be the only Doctor

  • i love it that you can hear the inside of the TARDIS. <3

  • wonderful song makes me cry :')

  • Good luck to Matt Smith!!

Anyone know? David Tennant was inspired as a kid by Tom Baker to act. Now he's the Doctor.

The two best Doctors and one inspired the other? Coincedence??

  • In series one the message was - Badwolf In series two the message was - Torchwood In series three the message was - Vote Saxon In series four (there were two) The messages were- rose & the bees disapearing. they talk about 'the bees disapearing' in nearly every epiode i know noticed
  • And for Series 4 there was Atmos for half the series.

  • @Lexiechicklovesyou then the final chapter...end of time, and the 4 knocks

  • @Lexiechicklovesyou actually, series four was more about the planets disappearing, hence the daleks using the 'missing planets' for their plan to wipe out all life in the universe and all parrelell universes. Well, it was davros' plan really lol. Although the bees did have alot to do with the doctor figuring out what was going on, due to the bees returning to their home planet. Alien bees, who'd have thunk it? lol :)

  • i think the one thing (not person) that i`m gonna miss the most is all of the Bad Wolf references. it was so much fun finding all of the little details e.g. CAL`s drawings of a blond girl and a wolf in the Library :)

  • Man, David Tennant as the doctor can only be rivaled by Tom Baker. I love the jelly baby eating scamp! :P

  • hoo hoo this song always gives me chills.

  • this is soo sad i mean the song the first season ended with this theme

  • I've watched EVERYTHING Dr. Who since the 60s. My Doctor for the longest time was Sir Peter Cushing. That was, until David Tennant showed up. David will always be THE Doctor. Hands down. Period. I wish Matt Smith luck because he's got some pretty big shoes to fill.

  • @starmedic i know right ! good luck matt smith

  • @starmedic : he's filling theme quite well!

  • @starmedic Peter Cushing wasn't one of the Doctors, technically. He did a remake for a movie, becuase William Hartnell was either way too old or dead.

  • @GanjaKitty90 Hartnell done doctor who from 1963-1966 and the cushing movie was in 1965, So hartnell basicly finished a year later. But you are right about hartnell getting old, That was the reason he left, he was ill

  • @starmedic My favorite Doctor was Jon Pertwee. In close second was David Tennant :3

Sir Peter Crushing? Never heard of him as the Doctor (at least in TV)

  • @starmedic And I think Matt has fit those shoes well. Though I started watching Doctor Who with Matt Smith, but the reruns that are being shown make me feel that David Tennant was, in fact, THE Doctor.

  • @NateVarmac Not for me. David was BRILLIANT but Matt is THE Doctor.

  • @DoctorWhoRocks10000 Well, Matt had already grown on me by the time I started watching David, but I've watched him for so long, I really like them both. But I know Matt is THE Doctor. :)

  • @NateVarmac to me i think david id THE doctor to me matt is great but not really to me

  • @starmedic I am a Peter Cushing fan, but I never cared for his interpretation of the Doctor. My Doctor was Jon Pertwee (Who, by the way, I had the chance to meet some twenty odd years ago.) Wonderful gentleman. Too bad he's gone now. David Tennent is my second favorite Doctor, by far!

Matt Smith has made the role his own.

Funny how this venerable old Time Lord grows on you as you get older and older.

    LONG LIVE THE DOCTOR!

  • @starmedic what do you think now after seeing a series with Matt Smith?

  • @starmedic He does indeed have big Converse to fill.

  • @starmedic he definatlely IS NOT filling them...not even remotely.....

  • @yellowcard1494 are you fuckin with me? not even remotely? if anything, he's perfect as the doctor, well almost as perfect. how the hell can watch him perform and say he's not good? ah well, some people don't know what doctor is about nowa sayz....such a shame...

  • @xPsychedelicTRIPx such a shame. ive seen every episode. i feel like im watching a kids show when i watch elevens DW. when i see 10s doctor i really get the sense that it could actually happen. it expresses real life situations when moffat does not. it expresses REAL romance, when moffat definately DOES NOT.

  • @yellowcard1494 *every episode of the new series the '05 series.

  • @yellowcard1494 Dude, this is a sci fi. doctor who isn't about real life situations or romance, its about space stuff, man. i get it if you like David Tennant better, he's an awesome doctor, but if you think Matt Smith is a bad doctor or Moffat is a bad writer just because they don't live up to your "real life" expectations, than you really don't know what doctor who is about.

  • @xPsychedelicTRIPx (im yellowcard, on a different account BTW) and i NEVER said that Smith is a bad doctor or moffat is a bad writer....and trust me i GET what DW is about...yes i like David better, because he is better, in his own way. my problem is that the scripts feel to childish and random. the music and sound effect overpower the dialouge, and its not nearly as believable as tennents era. just because its sci-fi DOES NOT mean it has to be completely unbelieveable.....

  • @xPsychedelicTRIPx and i love moffat as a writer...in the past. i love every one of the episodes he wrote for S1-4. but now i feel like he jsut isnt doing it right anymore......like i said they are more childish (like something made for 6-12 year olds...), the events feel random, with no point to them at all, and even when the scripts are amazing and i feel theres hope, he throws in some tacky, generic climax into the mix (i.e the "pandorica"?).

  • @TheDoctorCA i see your point. not saying that i agree with you, or that your right. i just don't wanna continue with this contradiction

  • @xPsychedelicTRIPx alright. lol

  • @starmedic

    So true.

  • @starmedic peter cushing's awful as the doctor, i hate the films

  • @starmedic Oh yeah, he did, he is amazing!

  • This song is so haunting

  • what music is this

  • The tenth doctor, THE BEST ONE EVER!!!

  • Ive seen em all and David was the best Doctor as far as im concerned Matt Smith looks like a ass but they don't let anyone play the doctor so well see.

P.S lol music is from dvd

  • thats true. from what i have heard moffat went through many actors and if he thinks matt is the right choice then who are we to judge him

  • We'll judge him by liking the show or not. Tennant seems like a brilliant guy on and off the screen, and I think it takes a smart man to play the Doctor. I can't cant say that Matt Smith seemed that way in the interviews I've seen.

  • so your gonna hold your opinion above hours of auditions and a man who has written for the show?

  • I said we'll see. But I'm not impressed so far.

  • i met Matt Smith when they were filming Doctor Who in Swansea and he was very chatty and polite :) true, David Tennant will always be my doctor, but im giving Matt Smith a chance.

  • david tennat will always be my doctor <3

  • ill agree with ya on that <3

  • Same :'(

  • this was a great series, but I think David Tennant was the best Doctor of this generation, the 11th looked like a complete noob or Doctor Who wannabe.

  • @FS3K and ZADER4427

    I agree with you both.

  • when david regenerated i was very sad the 11th doctor looks like a doosh and this song made me wanna cry :(

  • AWESOME

  • I love it, it's very moving

    I LOVE DAVID TENNANT!!!!!

  • Which is the one that plays when Rose turns around after Donna talks to her?

  • doomsday music well its part of it

  • The quality is not so good, but the picture's beautiful. Did you get it off the internet?

  • Its photoshopped, I have it as my computer background, but Jack isnt in it.

  • i really do like this its brill

there has been a message through out doctor who in each series

    1st series-Badwolf

    2nd sieris-Torchwood

    3rd sieries- Vote saxon

    4th sieries- rose

  • 4 series wasn't rose. it was the planets dissappearing. or maybe it was both.

  • And the bees disappearing :p

  • don't forget mentions of The Medusa Cascade. Season 4 was packed with a few things.

  • and the odd hint of the bees

  • This is and the offical doomsday theme song are my fav. Its the singing bit.

  • I think this would have to be one of my favourite themes ever.

And not just cause it's Christopher Eccleston ;)

  • This is a variation on the 9th Doctor's theme, as played on the DVD menu. It was played in The Parting of the Ways (minus the machine noises), when the Doctor kisses Rose to absorb the time vortex, then breathes it back into the TARDIS.

I was soo gutted when I got the soundtrack cd and found that this particular theme was not included. It has the more mellow Doctor's Theme, but not this version of it. Somehow I have always associated this one with the heart of the tardis.

  • I associate the song 'Rose defeats the Daleks' with the heart of the tardis.

  • lol, retard

  • What?

  • Funny thing about that. Thay are interchangeable terms sometimes. So...your comment is quite Ironic.
